What our customers say about their holidays

Whlist it is a dog friendly property, the surrounds are not.
The drop off to the water is steep and there is no rear 'enclosure' to protect dogs / children from this steep drop. Arrival at 5pm in the winter months is not very fair as it is dark upon arrival which makes it difficult to unpack and usher kids/ dogs into the property especially given the steep and poorly lit steps down to the entrance. (Also further compounding the need for some sort of 'enclosure' to the rear of the property esp when arriving in the dark you would not know how close it really is) The heating was NEST controlled, which has a pin code lock on it which meant that the heating could not be turned up over 20º. Sadly, as an arthritis sufferer, I need the heating to be higher than this to be comfortable and there was no other means of getting heating into a room (i.e log burner or electric heater) Also, whlist 20º this maybe sufficient for a modern and well insulated property, sadly, a lot of heat is lost through the patio doors so the seating / Tv area was chilly of an evening. Suggest thicker / insulated curtains would help in the winter months? The heating was on a timer, which made the assumption that guests were out of the property for most of the day...which maybe true in the warmer months, but not the winter ones! The property got cold very quickly once the heating went off, which means it had to work harder to get it warm again, by which time, it felt like it switched off again! The bedroom to the front of the property had a weird smell in it (like rotten vegetables!) which made sleeping in this room unpleasant, plus we had to sleep with the door open as to not 'concentrate' the smell. This really needs looking into. The house bathroom is very small, which was OK when there was just 2 adults, but when we were joined by other family members, it did make it a little fraught! Despite there being a futher bathroom on the 3rd floor, this was only any good for the using the toilet as showering was difficult due to the water pressure (which you only get told about once you've booked!) The property was clean upon arrival, but suggest that the cleaners move and vacum under the sofas as my dog was going crazy for the remnants of haribo sweets / crisps which were under there! On a positive note, the property was comfortable, well stocked and thought out. It is in a good location for exploring the area and the beaches on Anglesea

We love this location so much that itâs our third time here.
Weâve stayed in different properties each time, but Seaclusion is by far the best of them all. Itâs modern, clean, really comfortable and has everything you need to enjoy your holiday. The view is spectacular, we particularly love watching all the activity and the ever changing picture of the Menai from the upstairs balcony. You can also sit out on the downstairs patio if you want a bit more shade. The peace and quiet was wonderful and itâs a great base to travel around the area and even across to Anglesey. Thereâs two great cafes (Swellies and La Marina) and an excellent pub (The Garddfon) all within walking distance and the supermarkets are just 7-8 minutes drive away in Bangor if you need provisions. We have nothing negative to say about Seaclusion. Itâs so beautiful weâve booked our next trip in the same house, before weâve even finished this holiday and weâre looking forward to returning in a couple of months

A jewel near the city centre.
We had the delight in staying here for a week and couldn't have asked for more. The house is deceptively spacious and has a lovely quirky layout. The welcome goodies were a lovely touch and much needed after a long drive to get there. The decor was very tasteful and the towels, slippers and robes were the icing on the cake. The jacuzzi... wow... a lifesaver after walking around the city all day. We used in several times and it certainly takes the aches and pains away! The house is perfectly placed to explore York on foot or to drive to nearby towns. So much to do, so little time. Local amenities and eateries are excellent and its a very friendly neighbourhood. We'd recommend this property to anyone on a city break in York. It's perfect.

Beautiful house, really lovely property in a great location.
However the maintenance needs to be improved. It was clean enough and warm when we arrived. We saw the cleaner who told us there was an issue with the heating and that someone would attend the property. The upstairs heating didnât work at all. Luckily it was quite mild so didnt matter and downstairs was fine. No one came all week. There was poor provision of basics such as toilet roll which ran out after less than a day. The village shop was closed so it was a 15 minute drive for toilet roll!!! Enough wood for one fire at least would be great. Three dishwasher tablets and poor cleaning equipment. The drying rack is broken. Overall we had a wonderful stay but compared to friends in cottages on the village it wasnât well supplied.

Absolutely stunning location.
The owners have obviously spent a lot of time and money and effort making this a cosy and beautiful cottage. Itâs a shame that the cleaning staff do not continue this ethos. It wasnât just that things had been missed once - the dust was so thick in places that it was easy to believe it hadnât been done for weeks. There was old food in the cupboards and the freezer, there was hair everywhere - the bath, the stairs, in the bed - the sofa looked as if the last person in had just stood up. I made the mistake of dropping my toothbrush and it went under the bath - quite possibly the only time it had seen a brush. But after a couple of hours with a hoover and some disinfectant we had an amazing holiday.
