Mr Orchard - Verified booking
A deceptively spacious and beautifully located cottage. On arrival the cottage looks small as you park outside, but once you enter and walk through the full size of the property becomes evident. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all downstairs with the cottage being built into the hillside. This provides for some great cottage features. Our undoubted highlight was the patio leading out from the kitchen with clear glass wall surrounds. The views over the countryside and coast beyond were stunning - Bardsey just visible! With comfortable outdoor seating (cushions in outside storage box) and pleasant sunshine, we spent a lot of time relaxing there! Walking up from the patio there is a large area of cut grass (a narrow field almost), completely fenced and dog safe. A perfect place to let the dogs run or to stroll and admire the views. The stairs leading down to the bedrooms are rather steep and might not be suitable for some, although a bolted gate is at the top for safety. The bedrooms were very well presented with excellent bathroom and en-suite. The lounge was very comfortable with four two-three seater sofas and a luxury dog bed! The kitchen was very well equipped with ability to open out the doors onto the patio. Although it was tempting to just stay at the cottage, the Llyn Peninsula is a lovely area to explore with several areas of National Trust protected coastline and wonderful walks. Abersoch, just a 5 minute drive away, is a lovely coastal town with several nice places to eat, including great fish and chips! Overall a delightful property and I would certainly be happy to stay again.

We absolutely loved Molleston Back Farmhouse, the photos do not do this place justice. The location is amazing, completely surrounded by nature and next door to the fabulous Grove of Narberth if you fancy a nice restaurant (they have two, one which is family friendly and the other more for adults!). The grounds are beautiful and my children loved all the play equipment and we loved the outside dining, multiple choices, some undercover and some underneath a parasol, absolutely perfect. The dog loved the freedom too. The house itself is so well equipped with everything you could possible need to cook elaborate meals, a playroom stocked to the brim with toys and jigsaws, games and books, plenty for children of all ages and adults too. We also managed to work with the wifi with zoom calls, downloads, etc. We travel a lot to holiday cottages and this one we will return and recommend to friends. Thanks so much, you home and surrounds is beautiful. Should also add that it is 15 minutes drive away from stunning beaches and five minutes drive to Narberth, which has fantastic independent delis, shops, bakeries and butchers.

Thought the accommodation was in a good location with a lovely view but the bathrooms were old and very dated.
On arrival, I was also disappointed to find that the house was missing a few basic essentials including dishcloths and toilet rolls etc. which I would have expected to be in the house. After contacting the owner to let him know, the owner didnât respond to my message which meant that I had to purchase some of the missing items before the shops shut. The next day he rang me and offered to reimburse me (I had a receipt) and brought a few more missing items I had mentioned but unfortunately after our stay, he refused to answer any further messages and did not refund any money despite having my bank account details that he had requested. I have since spoken to Sykes who have made the refund on his behalf so therefore, would not recommend Mor Glas for a holiday as this property is not cheap, didnât live up to my expectations and found it upsetting that the owner didnât keep to his word.

Fabulous location. We really liked the house overall and the summer house / garden room was a bonus not mentioned in the description. Comfy beds and decent showers. Lack of any real freezer space is a negative easily sorted. No dishwasher a small niggle when on holiday. A bunk in the single room would have helped our particular group and seems an easy way of making the house perfect for four adults and four kids. The final thing we found quite amusing was the mass of notes stuck to the walls everywhere, the A4 cafetière safety instructions were the highlight (appreciate some may be necessary but gives the house a slight student digs feel). We’d definitely consider Dolwar for another year but felt will a small investment the house could be fantastic!

The major problem we had was no parking permit in property. Spoke to Powells on arrival who would investigate. Received email on the monday saying leave note in car window and it wouldnt be a problem. Informed the caretaker who was happy with that arrangement. All ok until the thursday when a different caretaker took over. He was adamant that if no permit then i would not be able to park there. Spoke to powells again informing them of the situation but no permit was issued and the caretaker put a laminated message on the car for the next 2 days saying my car was illegally parked. This happened because previous guests had taken the permit, all has been rectified.
