  Wonderful beautiful cottage. Stunning decor and lighting. The owners have clearly spent lots of time there themselves and have been extremely generous with the amenities. We particularly liked the small details - like outdoor candle holders and blankets near the door, or the supply of gin & tonic and plenty of ice cubes in the freezer. The kitchen is well stocked too with everything you’d need. Our kids loved the technology - three large TV’s and the two Apple HomePods kept them entertained in the evenings. We came here for our wedding anniversary with our 6 and 9 year olds and would highly recommend.

  We deliberately chose this because it appeared to be a “ character” property and were delighted with our choice . It was interesting period property immediately abutting a medieval gateway but had been tastefully converted into comfortable exceptionally well equipped accommodation, including an extensive welcome pack . The description quite rightly warned that the stairs were narrow, which would be an issue for the less able bodied. The table in the rear conservatory and garden gave alternative options for dining depending on the weather .

  My husband and I enjoyed very much every aspect of this small hideaway. We spent much time being human beings, not human doings. We loved the birdsong and the well cared for surroundings, not wanting nor needing the TV at all. All very tastefully appointed letting in light. I don't know if it was a clever purposeful appointment for the two little wooden birds on the windowsill or just a bit of Redwing magic, but when we opened the blinds, the sunshine flooded in reflecting them sitting on our headboard. We will be so happy to visit again.

  Wow ! That was our first impression and the cottage just kept giving, the attention to detail throughout, what a beautiful home, we could truly live here. What a relaxing friendly village. Actually all Norfolk people are polite and also cheerful, we were able to use our NT cards and recommend Felbrigg Hall detailed halls and good walks. Oxburgh Estate with lovely walled gardens. Blickling Estate, fabulous walks around the lakes, well worth a visit to Holt. Kings Lynn has so many buildings dating from every era. Thank you J + V

  We really enjoyed staying at Northgate Cottage. The weather was cold for the time of year so having a cosy log burner was a real bonus. The shower and bath were great and the bed comfy, we slept very well. There's plenty of kitchen equipment so we were able to cook some great meals. There's a sweet little cottage garden, nice and private and lovely to sit out with a coffee. It's so quiet and you're surrounded by birdsong. Lots to do in the immediate area, you don't have to go far to find great beaches and pretty villages.
