  The cottage is well equipped and in a lovely location with coastal walks on your doorstep. The house is mainly clean but the velux windows are filthy. The attic room Is badly configured and only really fit for small children. It’s also very hot up there as there is no air con or fan. The house is much bigger than we expected which was a pleasant surprise and has pretty much everything you’d need during a stay ( cot, high chair, hairdryer etc…). We found there is no where to put stuff in the downstairs bathroom so a bit of shelving and hooks would be useful and a shelf in the showers would help. We travelled with an elderly person and they struggled in the shower with shampoo etc on the floor. There wasn’t an anti slip mat either. All in all though this house was perfectly adequate for our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it. A bit more thought inside could make it perfect.

  Chy Vean was very well positioned in Trevone. It was off the main road, up a quiet cul de sac, within close proximity to the beach & coastal paths west to Harlyn Bay & east to Padstow. It was extremely comfortable & well equipped. Property’s layout was very good with double/ twin bedrooms at either end of the property each served with their own bathroom, plus a further bedroom with bunk beds. The unique design of the property made it feel very spacious & there was adequate room outside on the patio to sit in comfort, which the lounge & two of the bedrooms had patio doors onto. Would highly recommend this property for a family & even an extended family of multi generations given the layout & design of this single storey property.

  The photos of the property give the impression that there is a bathroom on the first floor next to the two twin bedrooms. In fact you have to go downstairs and through the lounge to the hall by the front door. Not much fun in the middle of the night. The lounge and dining rooms are small and crammed particularly for six people. The hallway has a number of different levels which presents a trip hazard especially at night. The entrance and driveway is tight and narrow and you have to reverse out as you can’t turn your car around. Probably best to visit in the summer months as the garden and outside seating areas are good.

  We really enjoyed our weeks stay at Chy Vean. The home felt very spacious and the open plan living area we found to be very comfortable. There was lots of utensils and good equipment for cooking and a good size fridge freezer. The patio area was clean and had a comfortable rattan furniture set for dining outside. The bedrooms were really nicely decorated, we found their was plenty of space for hanging our clothes. The beds were comfortable. The home was dog friendly and safe. Trevone is a fantastic place to stay and we would certainly recommend this accommodation.

  The cottage is in a good location, less than a 10 min walk to Trevone beach, and approx a 30 min coastal walk to Harlyn beach (which is dog friendly). Just a 5 min drive to Padstow. There is a farm shop next door which is well stocked. The cottage was very clean and spacious, all open plan downstairs with an added conservatory at the front, just off the kitchen/diner, which was a good break away area. The bathroom & ensuite are very nice and modern. The garden is small but adequate with a nice decked area, which gets the sun.
