Rod & Line Cottage is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful location. Guests appreciate the spacious, modern interior, well-equipped kitchen, and secure garden. The hot tub is a highlight, despite initial temperature issues. Nearby dog-friendly pubs and the convenience of on-site assistance add to the positive experience.
Reviews consistently mention the cottage being spotless and clean, indicating high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.
The cottage is appreciated for its peaceful and private setting. While Skegness and local amenities are a short drive away, the narrow country roads may not suit everyone.
Guests find the beds very comfortable and the cottage warm and snug. The spacious garden and modern amenities contribute to the overall comfort.
Facilities are generally well-received, especially the hot tub and kitchen appliances. However, some outdoor furniture is noted to be old and rusty, and there's a mention of a broken gate catch.
While guests mention a welcome package and the readiness of the hot tub by Debbie, there are not enough references to consistent thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately score this category.
With just a short walk to a country pub, this lovely cottage with a private hot tub is ideal for couples looking for a peaceful break..

What a fabulous find !! Suited us perfectly for our Christmas break .. quiet, warm and the site put in a beautiful Christmas tree. Amazing kitchen, large enclosed garden for the dogs which was a must and the added bonus of a hot tub. Having ground floor facilities and large comfortable bedroom for an 83 year old was superb. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Highly recommended and convenient for family visits in both Boston and Skegness.

We had a lovely stay. The site office was closed, however, we had a number to contact should we require anything. Their gardener came to check we were happy - offering a friendly face. The layout was good, but feel another chair in the lounge would beneficial 🙂 The cottage and park was clean, WiFi good, (but intermittent upstairs and in the downstairs bedroom/bathroom). The cottage was clean, tidy along with the park. The garden was well kept, and secure for our dogs with the hot tub adding a nice little bonus to our stay.Overall, I would highly recommend Rod and Line Cottage. We left a couple of coats behind, the cleaners reported it and contact were made to us. They were very helpful, friendly and efficient.A lovely little gem of a place.

Lovely cottage with quaint interior and plenty of room for maximum occupancy. Hot tub is cleaned and refilled for each new occupant (so first night may be a little cool but after that was spot on). Good heating plus log fire. Very comfortable beds. Dog friendly. Chequers Inn 5 min walk is great for a drink and a simple meal. Visit "The Fleece" at Burgh Le Marsh for great value food and a cosy atmosphere, followed by the Bell Hotel for drinks and a game of pool/darts. Visit the "Barley Mow" at Friskney for an outstanding Sunday lunch (booking required for Barley Mow - all 3 pubs dog friendly). You do need to drive to Skegness for supermarket etc. Given gardeners mobile number from owner, who looks after the property and was on hand for any concerns - thanks for a lovely week.
