Walkers can easily access the Limestone Way and Chee Dale Stepping Stones, less than 6 miles away. Tunstead is famous as the birthplace of James Brindley, who pioneered building Britain's canals.

If you feel adventurous, head less than ten miles to Poole's Cavern near Buxton and explore these natural underground caves before walking around the beautiful Grinlow Wood.
