Surrounded by history and art there is something for everyone. Explore the cobbled lanes lined with medieval buildings and climb the church tower with wonderful views over the rooftops and surrounding countryside. Camber Sands (4.5 miles) is perfect for relaxing in the surf or exploring the sand dunes. Rye Harbour Nature Reserve (2.5 miles) is renowned for bird watching, and are three vineyards within ten miles with Bodiam Castle and Great Dixter House and Gardens worth a visit. The railway station is within walking distance.
