  The house was lovely and the location fabulous. However we felt very overlooked by the main house - it really lacked privacy, both inside the house and in the garden. The garden furniture was fabulous but the garden really really needs an outside shower or at the very least, a garden tap so that you can wash off sandy feet and wetsuits. A real must for a beach rental. The bedrooms were lovely and the beds very comfy. Our en-suite shower was blocked and we informed the host - we explained it was not a problem and we would just use the other shower but we wanted to give them the heads up to get it sorted out before the next guests arrived. We were then very surprised and somewhat unhappy to find out that someone had gone into the house while we were out to fix it - without our permission. Not sure if this is permitted?? The kitchen was lovely and well equipped. The bathroom towels were small and cheap which was a bit annoying given the cost of the rental. It’s these little things that make a difference. We have been to Croyde many times before and absolutely love it there - we will be back, but not to this house.

  We stayed at Beren for a long weekend in November 2015 and fell in love with it - we already have a return visit planned later this year! The house is warm and welcoming with a lovely kitchen/diner and 3 good bedrooms. All the furnishings and equipment were to a very high standard and it was spotlessly clean when we arrived - the kids immediately logged on to the Wifi internet while we relaxed in the hot tub! We were also delighted to find that the house not only welcomed dogs and had a fully enclosed private garden, but the owners had also provided thoughtful 'doggy' extras such as rugs and food bowls. The cottage is located right in the centre of Croyde village and has the benefit of off-road parking (not often the case with village period properties as we've found in the past). It is also a stone's throw from a good local pub serving excellent food. A short, scenic walk takes you to Croyde Bay where dogs are allowed on the beach during the off-peak season. We particularly recommend the cliff top walk to Woolacombe with sweeping sea views across Croyde Bay.

  This cottage was in an excellent location, right in the centre of Croyde and within easy access to the other beaches. I thought this was the most well equipped accommodation we have ever stayed in, which is ideal for not having to 'pack the kitchen sink' to go on holiday. You really get the sense that the owners spend money on ensuring their guests have everything they need. The welcome pack of essential items was a lovely touch, and the board games for the kids was ideal for keeping them busy when we were home. We are a large family of 6 but the cottage provided us all with space and room. The wet room and hanging pegs for wetsuits isn't something you think about ahead of your holiday, but when you are there, they are essential! Thank you!

  Our stay at Garth was superb. A beautifully decorated house with plenty of room. Clean and fresh. Situated in a great location handy for town and Saunton sands a short dive away. The property has everything from a conservatory, out door dining and amazing views. There is also an amazing cinema room with pop corn provided! There is lots of space in this house so your not on top of each other. There is plenty of equipment and lots of info to help you enjoy your stay. We couldn't ask for more. Will definitely be back !   Really lovely stay in a comfortable, clean cottage……we could tell it was well loved and cared for. It was well stocked and our dogs were very well catered for. A huge plus was the location. Right in the centre of Croyde with easy access to a variety of pubs and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the Manor…..10 steps away from the front door and the Kingsarms which was a very friendly pub with phenomenal food……2 Inglenook cottage …..it won’t be our last visit . Thank you both so much xxx
