  This cottage is absolutely beautiful, it is a lovely private cottage but it is only a short walk away from the shops, pubs & a chip shop. The hosts were so helpful and friendly and quick to respond if you need to get In touch. This cottage is set in the lovely town of Bala with only a short walk to get to the lake and plenty to explore. It offers beautiful scenery where ever you go. The hosts go above and beyond to make your stay special. We went for a Christmas break and was pleasantly surprised with beautiful Christmas decorations and little touches to the cottage that made our break so special. They are easy to get a hold of and nothing is to much trouble. The cottage was lovely and warm with underfloor heating that made it very cosy. It is beautifully furnished and has everything you could need, it also provides private parking. If you are looking for a beautiful home to make your stay at Bala perfect then you need to book this cottage!!!!

  Perfect in every way!

  I booked this cottage without paying much attention to where, in Wales, it was! My main priority was having an enclosed garden in a place we could relax in and take our two dogs. Coed y Glyn proved to be this.. and so much more. Set in beautiful countryside with a warm village feel, we enjoyed it all immensely and Llanuwchylin station was amazing - like stepping back in time. Definitely worth booking a trip up to Bala. The village also has a lovely pub, y Eagle, with fabulous food which also served as a village shop. The staff were lovely and helpful when we initially couldn’t find anywhere to sit (booking strongly recommended) The cottage itself is warm, comfy and very well fitted out. The owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Not that we needed anything, but we felt we could just “ask” at any time. Sadly our 4 day visit was over too quickly so we will just HAVE to return.

  The property was very modern and clean with plenty of plug sockets in every room (something not often seen in holiday houses!). The underfloor heating was fantastic at warming the cottage up on colder days and we slept very well in the huge comfortable bed upstairs. We had no problems parking in our designated space despite worrying about being just off the main road and the location was perfect for walking to the Co-op or other shops without having to move the car. As a base, Bala was great to drive in and out of for walks further afield and we'd highly recommend taking a boat out on the lake too. Overall a great stay in a well-kept, clean cottage that we would happily return to in future.

  That was a last minute decision. We spent our Christmas in this pretty cottage.The cottage is well-equiped. Very clearn. We got everything we needed. We cooked out Christmas dinner. The owner is very kind. They put up the Christmas decorations and provided seasons hamper. Feeling warmly welcomed. The bathroom is spacious. The shower is so powerful. Lucky us! The location is so easy to everywhere. 5-minute walk to the late, 5-minute walk to the hills, and a couple of minutes to shops, coffee shops and pubs. We had a few walks and drove around the lake and to places. The rural road to Dolgellau is so beautiful. So many walking routes. We will come back when the weather is good.

  The property was easy to find located very centrally and close to shop and eating facilities. The property was exceptionally clean and everything was to a high standard. Everything you could need was provided as well as a tea coffee sugar and Welsh cakes! The owners Manon and Gareth were very friendly and welcoming. We have stayed in lots of cottages and this one is one of the best. Plenty of places to visit including the lovely Portmeirion Village. Really felt like we were in Italy (apart from the weather).vThank you once again Manon and Gareth for a lovely few days.
