  Really lovely place to stay, extremely clean comfortable and finishing touches are beautiful throughout.

  Pictures actually do not do it justice to be honest it’s a lot bigger than it looks and the kitchen is more beautiful in real life. Plenty of everything for use glasses, cutlery, plates etc. Wee garden is a lovely touch if the weather is nice just to sit and have a drink really peaceful and quiet. The cottage is situated on the main road and parking is free either on or across the road which is fantastic. However it is a main road and can be busy with traffic and cars pulling up to park and use the shop/takeaways but it is nice to a see a busy town. As the cottage window is lower people cannot directly see in the window and with the windows closed you do not hear them it did not bother us however I can see how it could if you are fussy. The cottage is really handy for everything if you’ve had a long day you are 1 minute to any of the food places and the shop is next door. Would recommend :)

  We had a wonderful stay here at The Antlers.

  I came for the week for some much needed R and R, and because it's not too far from home, invited family to come and go as they pleased to join me on walks or for a delicious curry next door! The house was clean and cosy, and perfectly situated in the town for everything we needed. LOVED having the co-op next door! A great location for walks in North Northumberland or exploring the lovely Border towns. Thank you for the delicious basket of goodies and for providing everything we needed for a perfect stay. I'd love to come back and would recommend to friends. Only improvement might be to provide wi-fi. I wasn't bothered as the 4g was excellent, but it would be useful for anyone needing to do any computer work.

  I'm sorry to say that i was disappointed but had you worded your listing better it wouldn't have been too bad, on the whole the cottage was well equipped and clean beds comfy but not enough hanging space for clothes.

  you said shower over bath but it is not it's a shower tap for rinsing as myself and my husband can not use a bath we thought this would be ok to stand in the bath and shower but unless you are a very very short person this is impossible, so we had to use a b&b just to shower. the sitting area furniture is so uncomfortable especially the settee i think it is collapsing it would be nice to have a couple of folding chairs for outside and an ironing board also someone needs to clean out side the back door it was a mess and the door doesn't open properly .lastly the junk at the side of the cottage is an eyesore. i'm sorry to say i have stayed in better two star for quality of furniture

  While The Antlers was generally well appointed and very comfortable, there were a couple of things that would have made the stay even more complete.

  In terms of the kitchen, some more teaspoons, bowls and a cafetiere would have been very handy. Other than that the kitchen had everything we needed. The other area where the cottage fell down was a lack of wifi. Not everyone is a BT customer these days & wifi has been a standard part of the offering in all the self catering cottages I've stayed over the last 10 years or so. The cottage was very clean throughout and although there's no parking directly outside, we always managed to find a spot either in the small car park nearby or on the street.

  Amazing stay with beautiful scenery and overall a clean, stunning cottage.

  The beds were very comfy with lovely bedding and the views were fantastic. A couple of points to overall improve the experience - the check in and check out times are pretty unreasonable, and you cannot have a stand up shower due to the sloping ceiling (bath was amazing, but this could be a problem for some). A note for dog owners there are a lot of ticks in the back garden (obviously cannot be helped but just one to be prepared for). Also - much easier to follow the road access from the other path (instead of the private access marked road).
