  This cottage is by far the loveliest we’ve stayed in as a family.

  Isolated (be prepared for very narrow roads in places) and yet good connections to the most beautiful rural area, pretty villages and market towns. Surrounded by wildlife, birds, red kites hunting overhead, cows, bunnies and stunning views. The house was very comfortable, wifi worked well for us and we had no issues with mobile phone signal (O2). For an open, sociable space it felt very nooky and we all loved the private hot tub with a view and amazing for star gazing on clear nights. We received a lovely welcome from the owner and then we were left to it which suited us. We loved Ludlow, walked the market town and the castle perimeter and discover the weir where the children paddled. Hoo Zoo was great for the kids (9 & 6) and we absolutely loved Blists Hill Victorian Town, the BEST fish n chips we’ve ever had, a Victorian dress up and photo and the stunning area of Ironbridge. We’d have easily stayed longer than a week and wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend beautiful brylikky!

  Everything was perfect, the cottage was immaculate and so cosy and comfortable. The flowers and cake on arrival were a lovely touch from the wonderful hosts Emma and Edward. Emma was so lovely when I contacted her before our stay for recommendations for a meal for birthday celebrations. The cottage is in a lovely situation in the hills with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Emma was kind enough to take us and our grandchildren (staying nearby) to see the piglets that had not long been born and also some baby chick's, the kids loved this experience. Emma was also kind enough to allow them to stay with us one night for a sleepover (the kids not the chick's!) The hot tub was wonderful to relax in after a day spent exploring and a great place to star gaze. The skies were amazingly clear with no streetlights to spoil the view! All in all a fabulous stay, we definitely hope to return in the future! Thank you so much Emma! X

  A beautiful, well designed and furnished property.

  A lovely home from home to relax in which was comfortable and warm, perfect in this November weather! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need so we were able to cook with no issues. Showers were great, had good pressure and were walk in showers with plenty of space (there are no baths but this wasn't an issue for us). Beds were beautifully made up, bedding was soft and beds comfy (we took our own pillows after seeing a review that said pillows are thin and we recommend doing the same). We took our husky, there was plenty of space for her in the property and the secured garden was great, and there are lots of great walks locally and also ones you can drive to (we loved Attingham Park). Internet and tv were good enough for what we needed. There is ample off road parking outside the property and it was easy to find using what 3 words. Will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

  Moorhen Cottage is an ideal location for a car-free holiday.

  It is about a 15-minute walk from the railway station. Food shopping is easy with almost daily markets and many independent shops. We were privileged to be Michiala and Mark's first guests and they went out of their way to accommodate our particular needs. The cottage though tiny was immaculately clean and has a delightful courtyard overlooking the river. The double-glazing at the front of the house does a good job at keeping out the traffic noise. Alas the mattress in the single bedroom was too firm for this petite visitor. Otherwise our stay was very comfortable. We were lucky enough to see an otter during our visit. I would return just for that!

  Cottage was amazing and the location is beautiful.

  The cottage is in lovely area and you have quick access to the me and roads so if you wanting to go anywhere in the surrounding area you've got quick access. Cottage itself is lovely inside and out, the garden was amazing to sit out in on an evening and just relax. Inside the cottage has a very homely feel to it, lovely warm and welcoming. The kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering cottage. You couldn't ask for better communication with the property owner is spot on the property owner is lovely and extremely friendly and welcoming, I definitely will be rebooking the cottage in the future.
