  Lovely spacious and well equipped cottage with a large neat garden, with 2 different positions for sitting out and eating. A stone's throw from the beach, and easily located for exploring the attractions nearby. We went several times to the fisherman's huts on the beach at Aldeburgh a mile away to get fresh fish. The plaice we bought had only been caught an hour before! The Dolphin pub a short stroll away had nice food. Our favourite was the Cinnamon Indian restaurant in Leiston with authentic, tasty dishes and generous portions with a public car park opposite. Great for birdwatching at Minsmere and Dunwich not far away. Cycled every day and loved the scenery, but not as flat as I thought.

  This was our fourth stay at Hope Cove and it felt like we had returned home as soon as we opened the door! The property is in a beautiful location and only a short walk to the beach. Although the property doesn’t have a sea view, you can hear the wonderful sound of the sea the entire time which we find so relaxing. The gates can be secured which means children can play safely in the garden. The house is very spacious and comfortable and has everything you need. We were sad to leave but will definitely return in the near future. Thank you for another fantastic holiday.

  Nice location, well fitted out and great central point for exploring Suffolk eepseicslly the coast. Only downside was noise - internal and external. Internally doesn’t seem to be any floor insulation so when anyone moved about on floor above sounded like a herd of elephants. Unfortunately, neighbours (no 6) were out to midnight each night making noise which made it difficult to sleep/have windows open. Impact compounded by the fact that they are terraced properties.

  Three adults and two small children on this holiday and there was plenty of room for us (and more if needed!) The property is spacious, comfortable, located a 5 minute walk from the shingle beach and a 10 minute walk from places to eat. Good sized garden for the kids to run around and very secure with lockable gates at either end of the property. Location is good to get to anywhere in Suffolk you wish to explore and all the locals seemed friendly as well.

  We have stayed in Aldeburgh/Thorpeness several times and the cottage is by far the best. Very secluded with two sunny seating areas outside for eating. Suitable for anyone with mobility issues as only four steps down from the car parking area to the front gate and only one very small step inside between the main bedroom and the adjoining bedroom. Would stay there again. Only a 3 minute walk from the excellent Dolphin Arms.
