What our customers say about their holidays

Excellent location and hot shower but everything else is poor.
No BBQ or fire pit as advertised on the property listing. Could not light the stove as fuel provided would not light even with fire lighters and kindling. So not able to boil kettle for hot drink or heat the tent. This meant very cold nights. No welcome folder with instructions on how to work stove etc or who to contact for help. Would have been nice to have had some info about local area too. Bedding was stained. Poor attention to detail such as would be nice to have some hooks in shower area to hang clothes and towels, sink is too small to be able to fill bottles etc from tap. Description on website says electric heater which gives impression that there is electricity. There is but no sockets available for phone charging or hair dryer etc. This should be made clear on the description as well as no cooking facilities or cooking equipment. Overall a frustrating and cold weekend. Definitely camping not glamping.

The cottage was excellent as a base for visiting the coastal towns and villages, as well as a lovely place to come to at the end of the day.
The living room felt spacious and if there is a cold evening weâd recommend the wood burner for extra coziness, though the electric heating is very efficient. We like cooking and the cottage had one of the most well-equipped kitchens I have ever seen - we didnât have to use any of the utensils we brought with us. We cooked every night so it was great to have the dishwasher. The decor was modern but comfortable with interesting antique and vintage pieces. Iâd imagine the cottage would also be perfect for a family as the kids can be in their room at one end of the living room, giving the adults a bit of space at the other end. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the local milk, eggs, bread and butter provided. We met Glenys briefly who was friendly and welcoming. We would happily stay here again if we had another holiday in the area.

This cottage is a superb little private gem!
Good location to visit what Suffolk has to offer, perfect hosts who care for their guests. Peace and quiet for a relaxing stay. Kitchen has everything you need for a self catering break away, the level of kitchen equipment is over and beyond luxury - the batchroom is superb, walk in shower and all catered for - again over and beyond usual self catering breaks, The bedroom has everything required with good quality feather and down pillows and duvet. Living room/dining room has excellent comfortable facilities. We have never stayed anywhere in many years of self catering that the hosts have not thought of - even down to bread, butter, eggs and milk left for guests. The courtyard is completely private to use - cannot praise this excellent cottage enough. We shall definately be returning.

A great property in an idyllic setting, comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The access to Captain's Wood is a real bonus, with deer and other wildlife frequently spotted. Even without it, the range of birds seen and heard around the large garden, along with hares, bats, etc. make it a nature lover's paradise. There are easily accessible walks from the barn or within a short driving distance. Plenty of places to visit, including the Maltings and river at Snape, RSPB MInsmere, Orford, Sutton Hoo and Woodbridge, plus good shingle beaches at Walberswick, Thorpeness and Aldbrough (check for the few hours around low tide, which is the best time to swim). Who needs to go abroad?

Very comfortable cottage, set in beautiful surrounding countryside and very peaceful. Equipped for self catering with everything you need and the walk in shower was an experience in itself with it's 5 different jets. We saw a hare run across the lawn a couple of times and the assorted birdsong was beautiful. The owners left us to it but if we needed anything they were there to sort it straight away. If you want peace & quiet with walks straight outside the door this is the place to be to explore Suffolk. We really enjoyed our stay .
