What our customers say about their holidays
Maureen - Verified booking
We had a lovely stay at Hillcrest, stayed with a couple of friends and there was plenty of room space, comfortable and nice and warm, as the weather turned cold later in our week.
The kitchen was really well appointed apart from lack of food cupboard space, just a small empty cupboard for bread, cereals and snacks would be useful. We also found the windows on the ground floor impossible to open, it was really warm on our first day and had to open the front door to get some air through. We had forgotten our board games so was pleased to read that games were in the sideboard, but again couldnât open the cupboard. As mentioned by previous visitors, the bathroom of the double bedroom would really benefit from having a proper shower, but these are really only minor points and wouldnât stop us from booking again. We all felt at home very quickly. We used the games room a couple of times, excellent facilities, didnât use the pool as it was booked the times we would have used but again it looked excellent, didnât realise we needed the key with the fob attached (probably our fault but didnât read this in the information guide). We did have a lovely week and thank you for a great stay at Hillcrest.

We spent a wonderful week in August at Old Farm. It was perfect for our family group of 6 adults ,a toddler and 2 dogs. We found the house to be very comfortable and spacious .It has the feel of a much loved home and is full of character. The garden was delightful with its many sitting areas. We really appreciated the extra fridge in the cart shed The location was good and we didnt get back in the car until 6 days after our arrival. The beach is in walking distance from the house and that is very child and dog friendly with sand and shallow pools as the tide goes out.It has the feel of a much loved home. The two pubs are good. The Deli was lovely and the village shop covered most of our needs. We walked to Southwold several days, fresh fish from the shop on the estuary and a good butcher in Southwold.Lots of lovely walks. We will be back

We stayed at your Sweffling Hall site last week with friends who where in the cuckoo and we were in the Swift and I must say our first Glamping encounter did not disappoint. The accommodation was excellent. We were so impressed with the quality of furniture, beds, towels, cleanliness of bedding and everything we could possibly need in the kitchen. It’s was fantastic.I also was impressed with Sandra who welcomed us on site. She was in constant contact throughout or week and making sure we were enjoying our experience. There was a small incident with another tent who had not kept their dogs on the lead which led to my friends dog cutting their paw however Sandra dealt with it straight away and we were grateful. Will definitely be booking again. Thank you

How unutterably blissful is it to stay in a holiday rental which actually feels like a cohesive home rather than a chaotic and eclectic mishmash of the owners castoffs.
Jill and Nigel are the perfect hosts, always ready with a friendly greeting or helpful restaurant recommendations. Nothing is too much trouble, and guests are treated like cherished family friends. The added extras of buckets and spades, kites, and little toys for our 5 year old was very much appreciated. The whole house is a delight, with the beds and shower (often woefully under par in so many rentals) deserving a mention in their own right for being equal to or indeed above the quality at home! Towels are fluffy and plentiful in their abundance, and bedding gloriously classic; crisp and white. Overall this was the best holiday we have had in years, and Saxon Lodge Cottage by far the most welcoming we have stayed in.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property.
It exceeded our expectations with the added bonus of the communal games room (pool, table tennis and table football) which the whole family enjoyed. Perfect spot for seeing the highlights of Suffolk and the grounds were lovely too. It was really interesting to read about the history of the building in the information book. Thanks also for the lovely welcome gift, which was most appreciated. Would 100% stay again if we come back to Suffolk. (One minor point of feedback is that the number on the designated parking spot was missing, so couldn't find it until we looked in the information book, but also meant other people parked in this space. Easily rectified, I'm sure.
