This is our second visit to Foel Fach. We do not normally return to a place we have stayed at before, but earlier this year we visited Tuscany and as soon as we arrived at our villa we both said that this reminded us of Wales and the beautiful Foel Fach with it's breath taking views. On returning home the very next day we booked a short break to Wales and Foel Fach. When we arrived just like our first visit we were not disappointed, the stunning views, peace and quiet and total relaxation. The old farmhouse was still as welcoming and homely as we remembered. It is so nice to return to this wonderful rural welsh retreat to enjoy space to breathe. Thank you to the hosts for not changing a thing. We look forward to returning again

My family and I had an enjoyable holiday in this bungalow. It's an undulating, 10-minute walk to the beach - we will stay closer next time we visit. There will definitely be a next time as we think Abersoch is such a lovely town. We recommend The Creel for fish and chips, and coasteering with Abersoch Watersports. Apres Sea is lovely for an informal, early evening drink. If you'd like to eat at The Potted Lobster, book well in advance, as we couldn't get a table while we were there in mid-July. Pwllheli Tandoori delivers good Indian food to Abersoch. The Island House's homemade ice cream is recommended. The beaches and sea are very clean and we never felt crowded there. A walk along the coastal path at Nefyn is well worth it.

Lovely spacious and well equipped cottage with a large neat garden, with 2 different positions for sitting out and eating. A stone's throw from the beach, and easily located for exploring the attractions nearby. We went several times to the fisherman's huts on the beach at Aldeburgh a mile away to get fresh fish. The plaice we bought had only been caught an hour before! The Dolphin pub a short stroll away had nice food. Our favourite was the Cinnamon Indian restaurant in Leiston with authentic, tasty dishes and generous portions with a public car park opposite. Great for birdwatching at Minsmere and Dunwich not far away. Cycled every day and loved the scenery, but not as flat as I thought.

Property itself is very sweet albeit a little small. Three double bedrooms were okay but only two beds were comfortable - one of the beds - the first bedroom was very uncomfortable - however the owner did order us a mattress topper which was kind. It helped a little but not enough for two weeks. The bed itself squeaks every time you turn in it and certainly for two people is not viable. It really needs a new bed for me to stay there again. The shower needs a complete overhaul as it dribbles out and for three adult males did cause drama. The shower and the third bed would prevent us from rebooking this property. The enclosed garden however for a toddler is fabulous. :-).

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Also for the VIP guided arrival to help us up the drive way in the rain and darkness. The roaring fire and thoughtful gifts soon had us feeling very welcomed and relaxed. Highlights of our holiday have been: the weather (yes, really!); a trip to Ynyslas nature reserve; a walk up Cadair Idris; a walk around the precipice; an adventure in Corris mine and a relaxed time at quarry pottery. A trip to river valley shooting ground. Not forgetting a walk around the farm, a visit to the cows and a visit to some waterfalls when it rained but best of all was the 100% help and attention from the owners. Amazing. Thanks so much
