Our booking was for lodge 41 with stairs, on receiving the key we got all our luggage up there, then on looking around we found that the lodge had not been cleaned the floors had not been swept or mopped dirty and stained the fridge and microwave had not been cleaned, the crockery and utensils was dirty the bedsheets had not been changed windows dirty, we notified the reception and they gave us another lodge this lodge was better but still had to clean the microwave pots and utensils, that staff were lovely and helpful , parking was also a problem as the gym and swimming pool was used by members and vehicle's coming and going were noisy with doors being slammed and they shouting over to other gym members, would be better if gym members were to solely use an overflow car park, all staff were helpful and pleasant, the electric radiators was complicated to work and could not get all to work with it being February it was cold, those radiators that was working was noisy making banging noises

I don't normally write reviews.
However, I feel i need to, due to the outstanding friendlyness and cleanliness of this holiday accomadation. The owners were lovely and friendly. On our arrival, they greeted us and ensured that we knew where things were. They had kindly supplied a hamper, which had various everyday necessities including bread, milk, butter, jam, orange juice, etc. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and well looked after and was nice and warm on our arrival. Because we had taken bikes, they kindly let us utilise their lockable shed, which was a Brucie bonus. The sea front was not that far away, just up the road over a foot bridge and down a few streets well within walking/ biking distance. I have to say, out of the various holiday let's that we have used, their's was by far one of the best. Thank you for our stay, we will definitely be back.

We had a very lovely stay here, the views were amazing and it was close to beautiful walks.
This place was beautifully done up, mostly clean, with washed towels, poo bags and dog towels by every door, and also a lovely welcome pack. The only downside is that The front door was a bit tricky to open. We cut our hands the first time trying to open the front door, as for some reason you had to open the handle all the way down, and the wall was in the way. The upstairs toilet seat wasnât on properly and didnât look like it fit the actual toilet, so it was quite annoying to sit on as it kept moving around. The showers didnât have a lot of power or warmth, the downstairs one was too spread out, and the upstairs seemed to have a few leaks at the top of it, and the shutter door of the shower was stiff to close. Other than that it was a really comfortable getaway. We all enjoyed it. Thank you for our lovely stay!

Gorgeous little unique property - perfect basecamp for those that want to go off an explore Snowdonia!
Loved having outside space and log burner to return 'home' to after a long day of walking Hosts were wonderful, and even let us know when the property was available for us to check in - which was earlier than expected, so that was a lovely bonus! The property is beautiful - decorated and styled in a modern way, without losing touch with it's heritage and history The only small issue I can see with this property ( And it's not an easy fix for the owners) is the damp/mould (which is bound to come with this size and age of property). It wasn't too much of an issue for us, but for example, if you have a mould allergy (my mum does) I would probably avoid this property in the wetter/damper months ( which unfortunately has been the whole year!)

Cottage was nicely decorated and size was as expected so while small we were aware of this in advance.
We found the bed in the main bedroom to be too small and soft so pretty uncomfortable, edges of the mattress were particularly soft so felt like we would fall out of bed every time we moved. A firmer mattress would help. There was a problem with damp in the cottage - which the owner is clearly aware of and trying to mitigate with moisture absorbing remedies and a small dehumidifier but they're not really adequate. We were lucky to have dry, warm weather for our stay but still found anything paper felt damp. It would also be helpful to have one empty cupboard or at least a shelf to store food in the kitchen as, apart from the fridge, there was nowhere to store the small amount of food we brought so it was all on the kitchen counter and all week.
