What our customers say about their holidays

The views over Harlech castle towards the sea are incredible.
The property is in a great location. It has a good amount of parking. The living space down stairs is a good size. The two larger bedrooms and the lounge have fantastic views. The garden is lovely. However: - the property was quite dirty on arrival. We filled the vacuum cylinder from the lounge rug alone when we had to vacuum on arrival! Some of the kitchen items needed washing before use. - Parts of the finishing are tired. For instance the second bedroom carpet is threadbare with no underlay. Lots of the floorboards creak. There is only one front door key provided. All of the kitchen knives are blunt. There isnt a complete set of matching crockery. The indicator lights on the cooker dont work. There is no booklet provided with info such as what to do with rubbish. - The property is not suitable for young children: A stairgate can't be fitted to the bottom of the stairs and the stairs are open so a child can fall over the side. This is not shown in the property photos The stair gate provided for the top had rusted through the metal joints. The owner did quickly provide a replacement when we told them but the stair opening is narrower than a standard door so a standard stairgate does not fit. This left the staircase very dangerous for our infant. The high chair is very old and dirty. Parts of it are broken (for instance the securing pins for the legs to attach to the chair, and the restraining strap is incomplete). There are several dangerous flooring areas for young children (for instance broken sharp tile edges in the bathroom, sharp unfinished edges of tiles, broken parts of the laminate flooring) The bedroom wardrobes are in two loose separate (top and bottom) parts so a child could pull the top half over. They are also not secured to the wall. The bathrooms are so small that its very difficult to fit an adult and a child in at the same time. Unfortunately the issues above mostly affecting children limited our enjoyment of what could easily be an outstanding property.

A perfect little break over the Christmas period!
After spending what felt like weeks researching properties to take our Christmas break, we landed on this one as it 'popped' out of the listings for us. The cottage surpassed all our expectations, it was a truly relaxing break and the property itself is outstanding. The view across the sea and the bay are breathtaking. The owners are very lucky to own this little gem and we truly appreciate you allowing us to take time away for a short while to fully wind down. There are too many good points to write about, but rest assured if you are debating booking this, don't and just book! The property has been built/renovated to an extremely high standard with oak flooring (and underfloor heating throughout downstairs), large double ovens, a large American fridge freezer with ice dispenser, a great little snug to help the kids to disappear for an hour or so, two showers, a large roll top bath and a seating area upstairs to help soak in the views. The hosts have looked at the smallest of detail and everything you need is catered for (apart from your weekly shop), from a bottle of Prosecco (which we didn't drink as we are not drinkers), a fully stocked tea and coffee station, logs waiting to pop on the burner and extremely comfortable beds ready for you to jump into! Everything in the cottage is tagged so you know exactly each cupboard contains - really useful! The only suggestion I would have is that the garden area is not very well lit - it would be lovely to look out over the garden at night but it's pitch black once the sun sets. We have been back for around 4 hours and have already booked again for next year! I have a feeling we will be continuing repeat guests here!

Had a wonderful stay at Red Ridge.
This was long awaited as had to postpone from last year due to Covid restrictions. Well worth the wait as it is a fantastic property with probably the best holiday view we have ever had. We enjoyed the waves on the exceptionally windy days and the calm waters on the hot days. The hot tub was the icing on the cake for us and we made full use of this. The house has literally everything you need for a comfortable holiday and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. It's a lovely walk to the beach where there is a cafe and a short drive out for restaurants and shops. Just one negative thing to mention for those holidaying in the next few weeks is that the house next door is being renovated and extended on the roof. It was a bit noisy at times from 8 am in the morning. The builders were very nice but did have a job to do. They couldn't see into the hot tub at all but they did have a bird's eye view of the patio area from their roof. They only work Monday to Friday and are gone by late afternoon so evenings were peaceful. We still managed to have a great holiday and hope to go back next year.

Really enjoyed our break at Stoneycroft .
The house is tastefully finished inside & to a high standard, very much home from home . Access is good from where the car is parked making it easy to carry cases in to the property. The kitchen is well equipped ( Loved the coffee machine) & the welcome pack was very welcome :) As there was only 2 of us we obviously only used the one bedroom which had a really comfortable bed ( slept well). The one bedside lamp didn't work properly but didn't cause a problem . The only other thing was the blind in the picture window in the dining area was brokren . Again this wasn't a problem as your'e not overlooked . The views from the house & garden are brilliant . If there is a problem , its got nothing to do with the house but where it is , halfway up a very steep lane, which is a real lung buster when you walk up into the town , which would present a real problem if you had any disability. Other than that thoroughly recommended.

Feedback Great accommodation.
.....everything we could possibly need was available. The rooms were all bigger than they appeared on the photos, furnished with lovely chunky rustic wooden furniture, including the comfy beds. Wonderful views of the sea and castle from the lounge and two biggest bedrooms. Great dog safe fenced patio area accessed from the back door......the garden would have been safe too if our dogs were bigger. Note for the owners I appreciate our holiday was at the end of the season and it was a big house to 'turn around' between bookings, but the cleanliness is our only negative comment. Looking at the en-suite we joked that the cleaner must be about 4ft 11inches tall because you could actually see how high up the cleaning had been done! This is meant as constructive criticism as cleaners must be being paid and I feel they could be doing a better job for you.
