  A beautiful lodge with high standards of comfort and cleanliness, thank you. We loved the welcome treats and toiletries too! We have thoroughly enjoyed our week and the bonus of lovely weather too. We have walked every day in the local area and the wildlife here is amazing. This time of year is wonderful to see so many migrant birds on the marshes and at the coast. The beaches have been so peaceful, just the sound of birds and the sea. The Burnhams walk was interesting too, visiting the different villages en route across beautiful countryside. Thank you. PS: Look through the windows! Hares, muntjac deer and pheasants just outside the window every day! A kestrel perched on the telegraph wire, and blackcaps visited the hawthorns, a delight to hear and see.

  We had a great stay at Ivy Cottage and would highly recommend it. A great base for a north Norfolk holiday, situated in a nice quiet village with a fantastic welcoming local pub. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a lovely welcome package and message which was very much appreciated. I was concerned about parking at first as I'm protective of my car, but there's plenty of spots and traffic is very low and slow in the village. The only time I struggled to park was during a Cricket match, but just joined the other cars parked on the green until the match finished. Was great to see such a turnount for the match which really shows the nice community spirit in the village.

  The property is a lovely haven and a nice place to relax and unwind whilst been in a good location to visit the areas attractions.

  I like to leave the properties I visit clean and tidy and whilst the owner provided a vacuum cleaner for use the floors were laminate throughout and tiled in the kitchen I think a soft brush would be useful to use (there was a dustpan and brush) not really suitable for doing a large area, and some kind of o mop so you could clean the kitchen floor. I also found the shower a little confusing to use, there are instructions in the booklet in the accommodation for the microwave it would be good if there were some for the shower, also a warning that the hot water gets very hot and if you are not careful you could scold yourself. These are not complaints of any nature just observations on my part.

  Our stay in Ivy Cottage has been so lovely.It is very well equipped and very cosy too. It is in a beautiful setting and overlooking the green is just joyous. The local villagers were very helpful and welcoming. The weather was a bit hit and miss but only added to the lovely week we have had.Visits to local attractions were enjoyable and have also joined the National Trust whilst visiting Felbrigg Hall and church. Thank you so much Gabby and Steve for the loan of such a beautiful cottage. You are so lucky to own this. Thank you! Thank you! thank you!

  Slightly underwhelmed with the finer details of the accommodation - Seat in Shower not able to be used - difficult for my wife who isn't able to stand for long periods.

  Kitchen adequate but contained a lot of crockery, glasses etc which we found were not required. Needed to make room for non perishables. small blemishes with décor under window sill in lounge - plaster off. Light switches in Kitchen & Lounge not easy to find when arriving after dark would have thought they would be near to the entry door? All in all a good place to stay and ideally situated for visiting attractions in the area. The village pub was well worth visiting - New Inn - excellent English & Chinese food.
