  The flat was exactly as it looked on your website & met all of our expectations (decoration & comfort-wise inside) apart from the horrible entrance alleyway - it could have been made more attractive as first impressions do count!! However it was cold inside when we arrived & the radiators were only on a timer with a max of 2hrs, so it warmed up quickly but if you went for 2/3 hours/all day, it was cold when you came back in!! Having to pay a damage waiver up front before we'd even reached the deadline to confirm we were definitely going - we have never been asked to pay a damage waiver anywhere else we have booked - plus we were not told about it until after we'd confirmed we definitely wanted to stay!! The hot water was supposed to be 'on demand' but there was no hot water at all when we arrived! I switched on a switch next to the shower room before going out, - but still no hot water when we came in! The next morning I contacted Host & Stay who wanted a photo of the boiler, it wouldn't send despite being on their WiFi, I then got a text with instructions of how to turn the boiler on but it took all day to heat up! Also in the shower, the tray was damaged outside & the tray for shampoo etc was lying on the floor when we arrived, also the toilet didn't seem properly connected to the wall? (Also despite the guide instructions we still couldn't get the TV to work either)! Finally the only good thing to happen was because of the boiler not being on, we obtained a later check out on Sunday as compensation!

  Our stay at The Lazy Seal was great!

  The property was easy to find and easy to access when we arrived. Travelling in 2 cars I was concerned that having no private parking would have been a problem but there was always plenty of parking on the street at all times of day. When we arrived the property was spotlessly clean and included lots of lovely welcoming touches including Halloween sweets for the kids, chocolate bees in the kids room and a chocolate treat in the other bedrooms. As others have mentioned the welcome pack including bread, milk, cereals and Noah’s eggs was much appreciated. The Wi-Fi was easy to access and very reliable, much appreciated with 2 kids with iPads! Some key items that were available at the property but not included on the property listing were nespresso coffee machine, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap were also provided in the bathroom. There was also a nice collection of toys and books for the children. The location was good with the beach in easy walking distance and the local shop just down the road. We didn’t need to have much contact with the owners but any time we did Tracey was lovely. Would definitely recommend a stay here and we would definitely go back.

  I had a lovely stay at The Old Factory House.

  It’s quite a sizeable property and would be perfectly comfortable for six people. Everything was beautifully clean and tastefully decorated with modern appointments. The kitchen feels brand new and had all you could need if you want to cook your own meals. There is ample space for a family to eat as well. The lounge is huge with a great TV and comfy seating. I loved that it still has shutters instead of modern curtains. It’s not overlooked but I closed them every night just for fun! The bedrooms are large and again, nicely decorated. The bed I used was lovely and comfortable. The only negative thing about it was that there is some noise in the mornings as you are on a shopping street and delivering happens first thing. The bathroom is enormous! Fantastic huge bath and a rainfall shower. The property is perfectly positioned to visit Berwick. It’s literally in the middle of the town. It is over a Turkish restaurant which is a must if you visit. The food is amazing and literally right downstairs! Overall the property is highly recommended. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to be back next year.

  Stayed here as a family with a toddler and small dog.

  Apartment is ground floor which made it easier with my toddler and the pram and was so spacious! Highchair and travel cot was provided too we just needed to bring our own mattress for the travel cot and bed linen for it. There was also plastic plates and bowls too and a box of toys so thoughtful which made our stay so much easier. Apartment came with a welcome pack with eggs, bread, milk and chocolate biscuits. There was other additional bonuses too laundry pods, tea/coffee/sugar sachets. Rooms were super comfortable and towels provided. Smart TV in main bedroom and livingroom so you can log into netflix/watch youtube. Log fire and starter pack for the log fire. Location was great the playground and splash park and small arcade was just round the corner right next to the beach. Beach was also dog friendly. 25 minute walk to Berwick where we got the train to Edinburgh. Rooms do get light so the only thing i would add is curtains to make it blackout on top of the blinds and also a mop for any spillages

  A very cosy little flat that was ideally placed close to the railway station for my arrival and only a short walk from the centre of town.

  Although the metal stairway up to the flat was a bit of a trial for moving a heavy suitcase I was clearly aware of this before I booked. Inside, everything was as described with the addition of a little welcome basket of goodies. As we did have a few days when the weather was a bit cool it was nice to be able to turn on the heating to warm us up. If the weather had been worse there were plenty of books and games available to distract you whist you had to remain indoors. The only confusion arose when trying to work out the day for putting out rubbish for collection. A chart on the wall of the kitchen says that the day is Tuesday and then highlights all the Wednesdays. The welcome book mentions the need to put the rubbish bin out for the collection but did not say where to put it. Happily one of the very helpful neighbours sorted this all out for me, but it might be worthwhile clearing this up in the information pack. All in all a very nice stay, many thanks.
