What our customers say about their holidays
Lisa - Verified booking
The property is well presented.
There is a large veranda which is pleasant to sit on. The kitchen is well resourced. There was a small carton of milk, some Welsh cakes and two toilet rolls provided for our arrival. Dogs are welcome on the site. The site has a dog shop and a new doggie shower/ wash facility which is very helpful. One of the local beaches, Cei Bach, is dog friendly and many of the cafes & shops in the area also welcome dogs. There is plenty of parking. The property is set in an old holiday park which is being renovated. Older chalets are being replaced with newer lodges like The Ridgeway. As such, there was extensive building works taking place during our stay. This included a large concrete mixer driving past the lodge to pour concrete onto empty plots, work people digging all day, and gravel being continually moved across the site past the lodge. It was, on occasions, quite noisy. There was an unpleasant smell of sewage for three days. It stopped after the siteâs maintenance team spent a day drilling and digging in an area close to the property. The unlimited WiFi was extremely intermittent. There was generally no connection at all after around 4.00pm. We did contact the owners about this. It was frustrating because we needed to be able to work and could not. Other holiday makers we spoke to did not have the same problem. The television also did not initially work. Somehow it was not tuned in. Eventually we did manage to get live tv after retuning the set.

The apartment was more spacious than we had expected and had pleasant and interesting views: the tram station up to the Great Orme from the front and across to the main bay at the back.
The overall immediate effects were of space, light (with the high ceiling and skylights), "welcome," fun (as there were some resources for children) and pleasing, tasteful colours - the living/dining area was very comfortable but also stylish. We found everything we needed (and more) in the kitchen. The information pack was comprehensive and we soon learned how to use the cooker - which was new to us. The main double bedroom was like another sitting room and gave us the opportunity to be in different rooms eg when one of us wanted to be quiet and the others watch TV. Two of us were in the children's room - but enjoyed sleeping in the bunk beds; it was like being in a den. There was also space on the landing for another "bed" if needed, though this was used a great storage area. The shower room was beautifully finished and the only "problem" there was that with two of us being just 5 ft, we couldn't really see in the mirror and had to lift it down. We both thought it would be good to have another full length mirror in one of the bedrooms or in the hallway. However, this didn't detract from our very relaxing stay. The location was ideal as we like both the main bay and the West beach and enjoyed the easy access to the Great Orme and Haulfre Gardens. We also had reassurance about our car being safe - having its own private space.

The flat itself is lovely, well equipped, comfortable, spacious, in a really good location and the view of Lllandudno from the living room is great.
Maybe the TV aerial needs fixing because the freeview reception (on both TVs) was sometimes so bad the the picture broke up completely and was basically unwatchable. There were a lot of DVDs available to watch instead so not a big deal. Take this next bit with a pinch of salt, it's only a small thing and may not even occur for you but it really bugged us. Don't let this put you off the flat, it's more feedback for the owners than anything else. The cleaner turned up at 9am on our leaving day and asked us to be out of the flat as soon as possible so she could do a deep clean due to COVID-19. We explained the check out time was 10am, but we would be out as soon as we had finished packing everything. She said she needed as much time as she could to deep clean the flat, which is understandable, but if the check out time is 10am then no-one should be bothering guests before then. Check in time for the next guests isn't until 3pm so I don't think it's right to ask people to leave at 9am; 10am should allow enough time for a thorough clean, or employ more cleaning staff. We felt quite pressured by this lady's approach. If you want to vary the check out time then put that on the property details.

What a charming cabin!
We needed a relaxing weekend break and we couldn't have asked for more - gorgeous views of the valleys, countryside, not to mention all the baby lambs we saw on the drive in/out! The interior of the cabin feels immensely fresh and stylish, with so much attention to detail, and a full range of cutlery and utensils which was fab! There is mobile signal and wifi which was an added bonus though still feel so disconnected from the rest of the world which is exactly what we were hoping for. The hosts were lovely to meet and very quick to answer any questions! The cabins are easy to find so long as you follow the directions correctly. So many wonderful places to explore. Our small dog and toddler were able to play at their leisure in the enclosed garden. There is a second cabin too which if travelling in bigger groups would make a great additional space, as well as an extra hot tub! The hot tub was especially relaxing and very easy to work. We will definitely be returning! You will not regret staying here, thank you so much for having us â¡

Lovely June weekend getaway. The three pods are set in a really well-kept field and are placed to be nice and private from each other. Hot tub was great! Inside, they are well equipped. We had a kettle, toaster, plenty of pans, two-ring induction hob, microwave and fridge with ice box. Towels and robes for the hot tub were lovely and soft. The bed was very comfy and bathroom was very clean. Rhys is very helpful in the build-up to the stay. The fizz and Welsh cakes were great. One minor criticism is that pods face east(ish) and so the garden tables are in shade in the evening (but sun for breakfast) so I guess that is a personal thing - you could probably move a bit. Another thing is the wine cooler fridge is quite noisy, with fan starting and stopping nearly every minute, but guess you can turn it off if it bothers you. Highly recommend drive or walk into the village of Llanfyllin. Some lovely shops and very characterful pubs. Locals are very friendly. Would definitely come back here.
