  This is a lovely spacious house and very warm and cosy. We arrived Christmas Eve and left on 27th. There were just a few things that spoilt our Christmas break. Although there was a tiny Christmas tree it didn't feel Christmasy at all. There were some lights in the lounge but the batteries were all dead. There was a Nintendo Wii but we couldn't use it as the batteries in the controllers were dead. At 5pm on Christmas eve and miles from anywhere we had no hope of finding any. We found a draw with some batteries but no AAs. The front gate was broken and tied up so we couldn't close it making it enclosed for our dog which was a pain having to take her out on the lead everything she fancied a wander around the garden. There is no blind on the downstairs shower room so we had to hang a towel up on the window for some privacy. The beds were very comfortable but the mismatch of lounge furniture was extremely uncomfortable. And although there are TV sockets in the bedrooms there are no tvs. People give old tvs away on various free sites these days it just would've been a nice touch. I know a lot of people don't have tvs in their bedroom but a lot do and nice to give people a choice. We also couldn't get the Now TV box to work, the channels all seemed scrambled. A beautiful house, it just lacked the personal touch. Thankyou for the box of mince pies as a welcome gift.

  A comfortable and spacious apartment with fantastic sea views from all windows at the back. The kitchen was very well kitted out, lovely large dining room and cosy lounge and plenty of space for a family of five with a dog. Little welcome pack with basics of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and essentials (dishwasher tabs, dishcloths, rubbish sacks) provided. We loved the location - at the top of Robin Hoods Bay with parking for one (more free parking on-street) - be aware it is a steep walk down and back up to the old town and sea. I think we would have liked to know that the flat has a shared entrance hall, and the door is literally right up to the bottom of the stairs of the house - a bit tricky for access, especially coming down. You can hear the neighbours in the Garden Flat below very well, although it didn't disturb us. Note most board games and records pictured in the listing have been removed and you are expected to strip beds when you leave and bag the linen up. Also - no towels provided - bring your own! Overall, a great stay in Robin Hoods Bay and we would consider returning.

  Absolutely brilliant. <br />Marina Lodge is a beautiful house with the most fabulous views - we just loved it. I stayed with my elderly mother and two teenage sons, and all of us were so sorry to leave. A very convenient place to stay - the parking permit was brilliant - you can easily not use your car at all during your holiday, as ferries, boats trains and buses are right on the doorstep. The house is very accommodating with everything on hand, comfortable and convenient. It was very helpfull to be able to have the main bedroom bed converted to twin beds for my Mother and I. My sons loved their double rooms too. ( Sadly the wifi did not work, but I believe this is temporary) The only problem was the window would not open in the smallest bedroom - but it was not hot when we stayed, so this did not pose too great a difficulty for us. Blue River Cottages were excellent too - very efficient throughout the booking process and extremely welcoming when we visited them in their Dartmouth offices.

  Pirate’s View has fantastic views over Brixham town and the harbour. It’s elevated, so is accessible by many steep steps or a steep slope; I therefore wouldn’t recommend to the less mobile - we loved the exercise though. Parking is an issue, as it’s limited and the streets are very narrow, but besides that everything else was excellent. The house is modern and styled nicely with all mod cons and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. Brixham is a friendly fishing town with nice dog welcoming restaurants and pubs. The coastal walks are beautiful, very hilly if you want to venture down to the coves, but well worth it. Salcombe and Dartmouth are worth visiting. Use the ferry to cross the estuary as the journey round is long and slow. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pirate’s View and would recommend it to most people wanting to visit Brixham.

  Overall a good place to stay near Dartmouth, ideal for the ferry and links to the wider area. Two great pubs, Marina and steam train nearby. Place was clean, 3 Decent size rooms and well equipped. Letting agents very good. Few negatives: Balconies needed a good varnish, new furniture and balcony glass cleaned, good feature for amazing views but didn't feel i could use it. Shame really. Parking is very limited, but marina car park £10 for 24 hours and a 5 minute walk away. 2 keys would of been useful. Be careful with the lower Balcony, goes onto a flat roof with a 40 foot drop off. There are gaps in the balcony sides and below the glass for a small dog to escape, our chihuahua ended up stuck in the guttering and needed rescuing, just be cautious with small dogs and children. Enjoyed my two weeks here that's the main thing.
