What our customers say about their holidays

A plain but nice cottage.
We had a comfortable and pleasant stay. Beautiful area with all that you need only a short walk away. I found that the kitchen could have been better equipped with a larger array of cooking equipment, if we hadn't taken our own pressure cooker, frying pan and wok I feel that we would have struggled to cook the kinds of food that we prefer to eat - spaghetti bolognaise, stew and curries etc. -- for our family of four never mind a family of six. We couldn't get the tin opener to work so struggled to open cans. There also wasn't a useable potato peeler so we struggled to peel vegetables (which wasn't ideal as I struggle with hand disabilities) we did though mention this to Kristen when she came to do changeover cleaning so perhaps this will now be addressed for future users. We also mentioned to the property maintenance manager about the light over the back door which he said no-one had mentioned before -- we struggled to see our young dogs when taking them out for "toilet" at night, our dogs don't like torches either and the lights from the kitchen and bathroom weren't bright enough either (maybe consider a movement sensor light on the outer bathroom wall?) -- and he said that he would advise to get that changed. Kristen did mention that no-one had ever given them feedback like this before so I suppose this would be why these things haven't ever been resolved. One other thing we struggled with was parking as visitors' cars seemed to being parked anywhere they could find a space leaving holidaying people with nowhere to park. Has it ever been considered to remove the grassed areas in front of the cottages to provide off road parking for guests or would this be a planning permission issue? All in all a lovely week away for us and our two young spaniels

We had a wonderful stay at Seascape.
The apartment was absolutely spotlessly clean, everything was exactly as it was in the pictures. It had everything you could possibly need ,including some welcome goodies, such as milk and biscuits to cling film and tupperware storage boxes. It was lovely and quiet, the view is amazing and it is situated in a perfect spot for visiting lots of different places around the area. It is in quite a hilly area so walking is not for the faint hearted and the most direct walk from to and from the beach is more than a steep climb ,so probably not doable carrying beach chairs etc ( of which there are 2 provided at the apartment ,and a windbreak,no umbrella ) it was a scramble over rocks as many Cornwall beaches are, there is a longer walk but again very steep. It is a lovely small beach but the only direct access is from Carbis Beach hotel , there is some parking ,but it was £15 a day (2023) Very easy access to St Ives via the train which is literally a stones throw away and cost £1,you could hear the train from the apartment with the windows/doors open but it never bothered us.You can get the train to Penzance too,we ran out of time so didn't get that far. The whole process from booking to handing back the keys was very smooth We genuinely can't find any fault with the apartment itself , would highly recommend it.

This accommodation was outstanding.
The host sent an email before we arrived - which was extremely helpful, especially the details of where to park came in handy. It cost approximately £13 for a week (Severn Street car park) with a short walk over the bridge each day. We loved the facilities, care and attention had been given to make this home exceptionally comfortable. Additionally, the host had left us a basket of goodies and a pint of milk in the fridge. We had everything we needed to make meals, wash clothes, relax and the heat was a welcome feature as the eveningâs were a little chilly. Having smart TVâs in the lounge and bedrooms was great too - if you wanted to retire early. We did not use the garden facilities as it rained all week, but we could see there was provision to be able to relax if the weather was nice. Thank you to the hosts for such a lovely place to stay, in such a beautiful part of the UK. There are ample places to go and explore including Powis Castle, Long Mynd at Church Stretton, Ludlow and many National Trust places in and not far from Bridgnorth - which is also a lovely town too. We would definitely stay here again, if visiting the area.

This is a fantastic property, which is really well equipped and is so spacious.
The view of St Ives from the living room is incredible and well worth the cost in itself. The Sky TV and PS4 (not things we have at home) were very welcome for entertaining the kids when we were packing up for the day. Our only real gripe was with the en-suite shower, which was boiling hot most of the time, even when set to the coldest temperature, so showers were brief! Only a minor issue really and it wouldnât put us off staying again. The location is ideal. Itâs a 2-3 minute walk to the station and then a 3 minute train journey to St Ives, so no need to go through the stress of driving in St Ives. You can also be on Carbis Bay beach in about 5 minutes, but just watch out for steep climb down and then back up. Well worth the effort though! Carbis Bay is well situated generally. We got to Marzion (St Michaelâs mount) is about 15 mins, and then Lands End in about half an hour. This is during the August school holidays as well. Weâd definitely return and stay in this property again.

Testimonial - Verified booking
"Seascape was reflection of the high standard that we have some to expect of Carbis Bay Holidays properties.
Modern, light and airy with first class fixtures, fitting and linens, it is well thought out and a beautifully presented property. Our favourite things to do are: seal hunting at Godrevy Head:. Beach combing on porth kidney beach (please note that the footpath from the end of Headland Rd is closed): Costal walk from Carbis Bay to St Ives for lunch. Ride along the coast to Sennen cove to enjoy both the beach and the walk and views to Lands End without the crowds. Sundowners on the patio or conservatory of Carbis Bay Hotel. Our favourite places to eat this year: The new Italian on the main road (St Ives Rd?) walking distance from the apartment and excellent pasta pizza and everything else in-between! The Porthmeor Cafe just in front of the Tate. Inventive menu with the tapas a real treat. Porthwidden Beach Cafe â we had a great paella here overlooking the beach, also called for morning coffee and cakes." K. & S. Rothwell
