  Had a very relaxing enjoyable time at Victoria cottage.

  The hosts were lovely, and the nice touches of wine, scones, jam, cream & mince pies were lovely in addition a bottle of milk in the fridge which were not expected but a very welcome gesture. The cottage is exactly that a cottage, 2 bedrooms, lounge/diner and kitchen with shower room off kitchen. If you are looking for lots of space this would not be for you but it was far from cramped and the addition of the dressing area off the main bedroom is a good space. It is well equipped, although we did notice some glasses that had been pushed to the back of the cupboard which were broken or cracked, I would like to think the people who broke the items told the owners and paid for the damages but as the item were still in the cupboard it is highly unlikely which would upset me if I were the owner of the property. We have left a note for the owner advising them if the glasses that are broken. I just hope they can determine who would have done the damage. We would definitely return should we want a trip like this again as it is a first for us as we have a touring caravan that we would normally use, but with it been winter decided bricks were preferable. Thank you Frank & Hillary for allowing us to use your cottage we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

  This pretty, quaint cottage is a great base for exploring the area.

  It’s in a lovely picturesque village, we were met by the owner, Frank, who had left us wine & cream & jam scones ( thanks!) The cottage has everything you’d need, it’s well equipped, the WIFI is good inside, for dogs there are leads/ towels/treats/ water bottles / poo bags etc if you forget them. The enclosed patio was ideal for my 2 small dogs to be outside safely. The beds are super comfortable, yes the loo & shower are downstairs but there are are only 9 or 10 steps on the stairs and not too steep even with my arthritic knees. There are woods in the village to walk dogs. The Pheasant pub is 3 minutes walk away, staff are friendly & the food is good, we ate there 3 times in the evening , choosing to sit outside in a ‘pod’ in the beer garden because we have reactive dogs. The Londis shop is a couple of doors away & is well stocked. The neighbour is lovely and very forgiving of barking dogs. We drove out to St Ives, Falmouth etc & visited some of the many beaches but the best time was to be had at nearby Crantock beach, swimming in large rock pools with the dogs in the afternoon / evening when most people were leaving for home, bliss! We would definitely return!

  This was an exceptional apartment in the most stunning gardens.

  The standard and attention to every detail far exceeded our expectations and was so superior to other places we had stayed while travelling around Cornwall and other countries over the years. Such genuinely welcoming owners who went above and beyond to help with advice on all the fabulous beaches and coves to visit. We arrived tired from travelling and the little special touches such as a bit of milk, tea and coffee were very appreciated. We were amazed to have been left a bottle of wine and packet of gorgeous Cornish biscuits. A lovely welcoming gesture for weary travelling Kayakers. This was quite an unknown area of Cornwall to us. We have been stunned and amazed at this location with it's tremendous beaches, coves and historical harbours. Access to some excellent restaurants and cafes on our doorstep was a fantastic bonus. The quality of the accommodation and the beauty of the area has captured our interest beyond what we had expected. We didn't want to leave on the last day. Wow, what a location. We are planning to return within the year.

  Overall, the space was very comfortable and welcoming for our family: - Tastefully decorated - Quality linens - Comfortable space - beautiful back sun room with dining table - lovely garden. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, including foil, cling film, dishwasher tablets, baking paper, basic seasoning essentials (salt, pepper, sugar, a few tea bags, etc.), and we were greeted with a pack of cookies, milk in fridge, and a lovely handwritten note from the owners. As others have mentioned, the fridge is under the countertop but we never felt pressed for space for our needs. The freezer is separate and small but also big enough for our needs. The one parking space beside the home is tight but manageable for our mid-sized SUV and we were very grateful to be off the street with all of the farm machinery that travels on the road less than a metre in front of the home. Great spot from which to visit beaches, National Trust sites, etc.. Overall, would recommend and visit again!

  Victoria Cottage is a true gem in a great location.

  We had a fabulous stay. The cottage is clean and very comfortable. It is a beautiful building with outside space and easy parking. The kitchen is well equipped. The shower room, although small, is perfectly functional and the shower is lovely and warm. The lounge is very cozy and homely. The beds are very comfortable with good quality bedding. Our dogs were well catered for. They had their own bed and treats, toys, poo bags and feeding bowls were all supplied. There are numerous stunning beaches within a short drive. The village itself is beautiful. The pub is only a 2 minute walk abd is extremely friendly and welcoming. Upon our arrival we were met by the very friendly owner, who showed us round and explained everything to us. There was a welcome gift of a Cornish cream team and a bottle of wine. Tea, coffee and milk were also provided. We will definitely stay here again.
