What our customers say about their holidays

Had a lovely stay with spectacular views, comfortable accommodation plus the bonus of a hot tub.
We visited the local tweed mill shopping outlet, waterfalls and reservoir, all which had superb cafes. The shop has some great bargains, waterfalls were stunning and reservoir had a fab 1hour walk. We visited Llandudno and Conwy Bay too. Betws-Y-Coed is ok if you like a short amble round some shops and a station. At the back of the station is an interesting churchyard and little church, then at the back of that a stunning view of the river and beautiful scenery all around. Back at the cottage, it was fun walking the length of the driveway and back from the cottage, as itâs quite high up, so the scenery is beautiful. Once we got to grips with the hot tub and managed to turn it up from a cool 36 degrees, it was lovely to sit and admire the views, even though the weather was windy and cool. Sheep and lambs fed and played on the hills around and we saw buzzards from the track too. The driveway is stony but as long as you drive real slow itâs very doable. Local Morrisons and Aldi are 6 miles away. Some of the kitchen appliances need a bit of an update but are still functional and didnât distract from the enjoyment of the holiday. Bedrooms are spacious and have plenty of storage. The property is clean and the owner really polite and helpful. The cottage is alone on a hill, so thereâs plenty of privacy all around it. This makes for a nice holiday, especially suited for families who like to make their own entertainment. I appreciated there being no television (except for a DVD/TV player to watch films) as it felt like a real holiday without one. Wi-Fi is available and very reliable, so if you like tv itâs easily got through that. I would defo recommend this cottage.

We had such an amazing and relaxing week here!
The hosts were lovely and very quick with replying to any queries we had. They did daily checks on the hot tub but access through the gate and there's no disturbance to you in the house. My partner was originally a bit anxious about the roadside parking but due to the street being permit only, there weren't many cars other than residents. Also with the house being end of the row we could pull straight into the space each day. The inside was amazing! Very well decorated and furnished and it was very homely. The heating (a must at this time of year) was very easy to control and kept the lounge very cosy. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was perfect! We must admit the master bedroom took longer to get warm and didn't stay warm for long, but we didn't spend much time in there other than to sleep. *if you're thinking of stopping here you MUST use the hot tub, it was a perfect way to relax after a long day* The location is brilliant too. Co-op and Tesco are both in walking distance, there's pubs, restaurants and takeaways all within walking distance too. There's plenty of places to visit no more than an hour's drive, and Snowdonia isn't far either by car. Ruthin itself is a lovely little town (village?) it was quiet during the week but really came to life on the Saturday. 100% recommended staying here!

An amazing stay, if youâre looking for a relaxing peaceful stress free cottage, this is it.
Given the rural location lots of things to see and do a short drive away, we visited Llandudno, spent an afternoon paddle boarding in Llangollen and explored a beautiful nearby reservoir where you could cycle or sail. The cottage itself, lots of thoughtful attention to detail, very comfy beds with nice bedding, spare towels, bath robes, bath mats, and a generously equipped kitchen. It even had an electric mixer and scales so I could make my partner a birthday cake. The website does not do the hot tub justice, it was wonderful, scrupulously clean, and watching the sunset from the hot tub was sublime. The rural setting was perfect for us to unwind and chill from the hot tub. The slight mark down for not as described on the website was that the listing included a gas bbq, board games and the outdoor furniture did not include a table as per the listing but we improvised, so all was fine. Sylwen the owner was amazing very friendly, and left us to it, but was available if needed. Weâve stayed in a lot of places and this was definitely right up there as one of the best. Thank you.

Absolutely loved this little house.
It was the perfect place to take our parents and dogs ! To explore the coast and the Welsh countryside. We had a gorgeous few days, exploring the coastline and beaches and towns and loved Colwyn Bay. Another day towards llangollen which is a beautiful town, with horse drawn canal trips and train rides to keep you busy while you sit back and enjoy the countryside. Horseshoe pass another beautiful drive. The house has everything you need. Itâs beautifully decorated and we arrived to a lovely welcome hamper. The hosts really have gone all out ensuring the house stay was just perfect. The hot tub is an added bonus. Just let them know if your not going ti use it as it seems a waste to fill it up and heat it if not. Thanks for helping make this a memorable stay with my mum, dad and daughter and dogs ! Even they had a new tie on arrival ! You thought Iâd everything ! Really hope to return and have told all our friends and family to visit !

Lovely cottage set in the beautiful Dee Valley - the views from all windows and the patio were truly breathtaking.
The weather was very kind to us every day and so we were able to enjoy all the area had to offer. We also enjoyed the patio every evening - listening to the birds, taking in the view, and even got to watch a hot air balloon glide over the valley. You can just about see the aqueduct from the property and enjoyed using the binoculars provided to look at the canal boats crossing. A great base for exploring in and around Llangollen - great walks, lovely towns, and a good touring base as close to the main A5. The drive way looked like it may have been a problem for many previous people, and we had a couple of stressful days whilst we worked out the best way in and out - in the end we forward parked in the driveway and then reversed out, getting a dab hand at the manoeuvre by the end of our stay! We would definitely recommend, and wouldnât think twice about staying again!
