  Top class holiday rental.

  Howe Keld 2. We have stayed in many apartments and this is our favourite, so much so that we have booked again for six weeks time. Everything is very high spec, top quality, very pleasing to the eye, attention to detail is notable, comfortable in every respect, immaculately clean, very welcoming. A tea tray had been laid out for us with a cake and pot of jam, and tea, fresh coffee, sugar, milk were provided. The provision of things, like tea, towels, towels, bin bags, dishwasher, tablets, was generous. The housekeeper, Angela, is a very good communicator, very pleasant and friendly and willing to do anything to help. The apartment made our holiday, we actually enjoyed spending time in the apartment as much as we did going out exploring. There is only one slight problem for us and that is the parking, which was quite tricky for our car. It would’ve been fine if we had been in a mini though.

  Well kept and equipped compact studio apartment that is ideally located.

  Unfortunately we hadn’t seen comments on the bed size and reluctantly left after three days due to uncomfortable small double bed that is wedged up to a wardrobe in partition area of accommodation (appears to previously started life as the garage hence compact bedroom) in addition the quilt could do with going up a size. Very disappointed with owner as sent a pleasant message explaining we’d left on the Tuesday morning and this early departure would give them extra days to service apartment in preparation of new clients rather than short turnaround on the Saturday to date no response. This issue appears to be only negative recurring comment and either replacement sofa bed in lounge area or moving partition wall forward to allow larger bed would resolve this problem. It’s sad that our polite message explaining our decision didn’t deserve any response.

  The apartment was superb.

  ..really well designed with a high spec interior it had everything you could wish for. The bathroom in particular was fantastic. A wonderful deep bath to soak the muscles after a days walking... The location is fantastic, only 2 mins from town but still a quiet location. There was a parking space in the buildings car park... probably the only negative as it's a bit tricky parking a large car, but you do get used to it..you need to reverse in !! Keswick is a wonderful base, the town has LOTS of really good places to eat, the fellpack was the best and closest.. (hence we didn't use the flats lovely kitchen very much). Quick mention for Angela the housekeeper a real asset, very helpful and knowledgeable... Pointed us in the direction of the best Chinese takeaway. (Golden hills). All in all an excellent stay and we really hope to return. Thankyou!

  The location was a perfect base for everything we needed “Bowness” has everything you could need and more all within a few minutes walking.

  There was a thoughtful welcome pack that included wine, brownies, tea and coffee which was a pleasant surprise. The property was very clean and well equipped with everything you might need including DVD’s and for those that might prefer to cook rather than eat out the kitchen has everything. However theres so many great places we ate out, we had no reason to cook. The shower room is very cold, there is a blow heater but didnt really do much (it was winter) and the mattress was very firm for us. But the bed itself was good quality. We decided not to bring our dog which was probably for the best as the space is adequate but not really big enough for a dog. We thoroughly recommend this flat for a week at The Lakes and would book again!

  Just to say we had a great stay.

  It was wonderful and very welcoming. A couple of points for feedback. The outside lights didn't come on and after inspecting the fuse board it transpires they had been turned off. Not good in the dark with difficult steps to negotiate. Secondly the central heating was set for twice a day. On the assumption that guests would be out during the day fine BUT it was Xmas holidays when the shops are shut and winter weather is bad.So to supplement the heating by asking guests to use the air heater on the electric fire only produced a dry heat that gave us both raging sore throats and kept us in bed two days. Not good. Other than that it was as good as it looked in the brochure. Thanks Garry staincliffe.
