  The good: - Great location for Malham and the Pennine Way - Lots of space in living areas and two of the bedrooms - Clean The bad: - Lacking some basics (scissors in the kitchen; saucepans big enough to cook basics for 4) - Very small and compromised bathrooms - In poor state of repair in places (large glass shower door held on with silicone, and fell off; bad smell from drains; TVs in bedrooms not working) - Layout of outdoor space leads to a total lack of privacy in garden (which is shared with the neighbouring cottage). For example, the Hot Tub is placed just a few feet from the one belonging to the neighbouring cottage, meaning no privacy if the neighbours use theirs at the same time. (Especially so if you have neighbours who spend their time smoking, drinking, swearing, shouting and arguing in the hot tub!) We eventually cut our stay short and came home a day early. The owner did offer a partial refund, reflecting some of these issues, but this has never materialised and he has since stopped answering messages asking him to honour his promises.

  Location was beautiful, with great views and lots of local walks. It is remote, so a car is required for days out, and the local roads are often single track with passing places. The accommodation was a bit cramped for five adults. Three bath / shower rooms have been squeezed in, but the layouts are poor. One shower room is tiny, and to get to the basin in the main bathroom you have to squeeze through a gap between the bath and the toilet. Small changes would make a difference such as bins and mirrors in each of the bedrooms. Kitchen was well equipped, but we did have issues with the microwave (blew up and had to be replaced!) and the electricity tripping and being unable to find the fuse box. We added a note to the info folder for future holiday makers.

  A Lovely Property in a beautiful location was our first impression on the website and in person. All in all, it is a very clean property with clean linen and bathrooms. However the practicalities of the property leaves a bit to be desired once you scratch the surface. To offer a property for 6 people is a little bit over ambitious as the ensuites are very tiny and hard to navigate around. The kitchen isn't equipped enough to accommodate 6 people, for instance 3 coffee cups only. Kitchen is in need of some attention as doors and drawers don't fit properly and lack of blinds at the kitchen windows means the cottage at the side can easily overlook this property.

  The photographs don’t do justice to this lovely apartment.

  The high beamed ceilings make it really spacious (with remote controlled velux windows) as does the glass door to the outside space at the back. The stairs in are quite steep which may be a problem for some and parking isn’t easy but can usually be found at the very top of the village. You can load and unload at the door if this is the case. The central location is fantastic as there are numerous walks from the door and the fish and chip shop two doors down (limited opening hours) is very handy! I’d recommend this apartment without hesitation. I loved it!

  A return visit to lovely Lotties Loft.

  A very cozy and comfortable cottage in the centre of Grassington with fabulous walks, great giftshops, tea rooms, pubs and restraunts on the doorstep. Our favourite walks include Grassington to Burnsall along the river including Linton falls, Grassington to Hebden including the Old School House tearooms, and walking through Grass Wood. Lotties Loft is ideally situated for visiting nearby towns of Skipton and Ilkley and the pretty village of Linton. Whether you are a walker or not, there is plenty to see and do in this area. Will definately stay here again soon.
