  This was the most perfect holiday we have had in England. The house is on the beach with great views across the sea. We were blessed with perfect sunny weather and that made this special. Waking up to the sun shimmering across the water, wondering onto the walkway in the morning to throw a few crab lines and relaxing whilst waiting for them to bite. When the tide went out the beach in front was all to ourselves every day and this was the height of summer. We were lucky enough to see a seal every day and even a baby came onto the beach. The beach house has all the necessary equipment needed with a few extras like binoculars and beach equipment. The cinema screen was a big hit in the evening. Walcott itself has a local convenience store and a lovely fish and chip shop. It is a quiet place, even this time of year. The house has plenty of DVDs and games to help if the days are grey. Wroxham is a short drive away and I would recommend hiring a boat from broad tours (£40 two hours).There was plenty of room for six of us. The garden was nice and large and plenty of space for parking. I can't recommend this place enough. It's only fair to leave a great review for the owners although I would rather it be kept a secret.

  Lovely placed property, right by the beach. Plenty of bedrooms, and lots of space. Nicely decorated. Access to all 4 floors is via a spiral staircase from the ground floor so something to factor in for anyone with mobility issues. The local businesses and pub opposite tend to get quite early deliveries, and as the property doesn’t have double glazing, early wake up calls are the flip side to being so close to the beach. We struggled with eating locally, as many establishments seem to close very early (pub kitchen stops serving at 8pm) or simply not open on certain days (local tea rooms). No reflection on the property itself, which has a fully working kitchen, and a co op just around the corner, but in terms of location, something to be aware of if you are planning to eat out - research opening times in advance.

  As soon as you open the gates into the property the WOW moment hits you. The house and gardens are truly amazing. We holiday regularly in North Norfolk choosing luxury homes/cottages (I’m a bit picky 😜) and this by far was the best home that we have stayed in. There is a real calmness to this house and you can sit for hours taking in the fabulous view from the terrace or from the lounge. There was only five us plus our dog and the house was perfect to quietly celebrate two birthdays and our wedding at Cley Windmill midweek. If you can leave the house the local area has great food, coffee, walks, beaches and more. Huge thanks to the housekeeping team as every room was immaculate. Now back to reality looking at dates when we can next visit and searching the internet for orange sofas!
