What our customers say about their holidays

Dwyros is a fantastic cottage surrounded by countryside, about a mile from the village and beach.
It is very spacious and there is plenty of storage. The kitchen has loads of cupboard space and work surfaces, with a full sized fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Everything is modern and clean. Gareth lives next door so is on hand if needed, and he called round once to check everything was okay but otherwise you wouldn't know he was there - it's all very quiet and peaceful with a glorious large back garden and superb views from the bedroom window. An ideal cottage for children (which we didn't have) as there is the large garden to run about in and a playground right next door. The back of the cottage is sunny all day and the front lovely and cool, just right after a hot day walking/paddling - we were very lucky with the weather and had wall to wall sunshine. The only additions to the cottage I would suggest are a coffee table and a coat rack, otherwise everything was perfect. The local Costcutter (I guess you could walk there but we weren't that energetic!) is a real Tardis with delicious pies and pasties, and also ready made meals such as roast beef and yorkshire pudding, lasagne, curry, so you can avoid the hassle of cooking and the expense of eating out. The Llyn Peninsula is really stunning with its mountains, soft golden sands, gently lapping waves and cliff walks. Nefyn beach is gorgeous, with a café right on the beach (felt sorry for the poor girl behind the counter as she was on her own and had to combine taking orders, payment, making sandwiches but stayed cheerful!) We were lucky to get one of the few car parking spaces right next to the beach, otherwise you have to park in one of the residential streets and walk down the very steep hill. Morfa Nefyn beach, which is adjacent to Nefyn beach, has a National Trust car park but we didn't visit that beach. There are not a lot of attractions in the area so I reckon you need the good weather to enjoy this part of Wales. Pwllheli, Criccieth and Aberdaeron are definitely worth a visit, we weren't so keen on Abersoch as it was very hilly and full of traffic, even though it was a weekday out of high season (first week in June). Also no disabled concessions or toilets in the car park, unlike the other towns. We also did a scenic drive up to Dinas, spectacular mountains and sea views, and there's an excellent café by the beach called Waves which was quite reasonably priced - seems difficult these days to get a lunch for under £10 each, but this had a few tasty options. Many thanks to Gareth for providing such comfortable accommodation, we would definitely recommend Dwyros.

In an excellent position right in the centre of Nefyn.
Groceries, a wonderful community pub, a takeaway and a hotel where you can have Sunday Lunch or watch the football are all right on your doorstep and Pwllheli is only a 10 minute drive away (you can also get multiple buses) if you want bigger shops. Parking outside the property was not as problematic as we thought it might be (even in August!) but there is plenty of on-street and free public car parking available anyway. The wonderful beach is a 5 minute walk away (steep hill but some parking if you need it) and the beach hut is fantastic! House and beach hut is well equipped - we were a party of 7 adults, 2 babies under 2 and 2 dogs and there was more than enough of everything we would need and plenty of space. Jerome is a fantastic host and answered our texts very quickly when we managed to accidentally switch off the electrics! We loved it here - everyone is really friendly (visit the Maritime museum, its only a 2 minute walk away and the people who volunteer there are lovely!) and you couldnt be in a better place to explore the LlÅ·n Peninsula!!

Nice newly refurbished property in the heart of Nefyn.
Nice bedrooms and really nice bathrooms, plenty of space for all 9 of us (7adults and 2 children). A few unfinished aspects to the property when we were there (top floor) but I'm sure it'll be complete for the next renters. The owner was good with communications and always made sure that any questions were answered promptly. Just a personal preference we just wished there was a little bit of space in the kitchen to put food etc in cupboards, but we say that about all rental properties as all the cupboards are generally full of utensils, pans etc. We ended up keeping dry food in our own storage boxes on the floor, but out of the way. We struggled with parking, however this was mainly due to the eisteddford being held on the same week, 3 miles away. We have been to Nefyn many times and have never seen it so busy before so it's definitely because of this exceptional festival. Loved the outside area and the raised patio at the rear of the property.

We had the pleasure of staying at Brigwyn over the Easter holidays and have no hesitation in recommending it.
Three generations of us stayed and we found the house to be very comfortable - more than enough space downstairs to cook and come together but a brilliant space on the top floor for a teenager retreat when they got bored of the grown ups. The house is very well finished with comfy beds, excellent showers and good quality bed linen and towels. The kitchen was sensibly stocked with everything you might need, including some kitchen basics like oil and seasonings. The outdoor area was lovely, especially the top patio, but unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to use it as much as we hoped. Jerome, the owner, sent us some really helpful videos about heating etc, along with recommending the lovely cafe by the Spar for breakfast. Final point - we were a bit worried about the on street parking as we brought two cars but had no problems whatsoever. We were even able to park right outside the door for loading up on leaving day!

A very spacious and well planned holiday property.
It was all very modern inside and the living room/snug were great. We arrived, unpacked the car and went down to the beach (great location to access this so easily!) It was only on return and with an hour before our anniversary meal at the local pub that we discovered there was no hot water! The owners were contacted and an engineer (very friendly!) came very early the next day and it was sorted by lunch time, but not the best start to our holiday- (weâve not heard if compensation for this will be given.) The small courtyard garden was a sun trap and better than the photos suggested. Beach towels were provided so no need to take your own even though description says you should. There was only room to park one, not two cars as listed, but this wasnât an issue for us, but might be for some. A great property in a fabulous location for beach and hotel/pub access! Would recommend to others!
