  The house was lovely and the location fabulous. However we felt very overlooked by the main house - it really lacked privacy, both inside the house and in the garden. The garden furniture was fabulous but the garden really really needs an outside shower or at the very least, a garden tap so that you can wash off sandy feet and wetsuits. A real must for a beach rental. The bedrooms were lovely and the beds very comfy. Our en-suite shower was blocked and we informed the host - we explained it was not a problem and we would just use the other shower but we wanted to give them the heads up to get it sorted out before the next guests arrived. We were then very surprised and somewhat unhappy to find out that someone had gone into the house while we were out to fix it - without our permission. Not sure if this is permitted?? The kitchen was lovely and well equipped. The bathroom towels were small and cheap which was a bit annoying given the cost of the rental. It’s these little things that make a difference. We have been to Croyde many times before and absolutely love it there - we will be back, but not to this house.

  This is a lovely cottage and we had a wonderful week!

  We had everything we needed here and it felt like home, but with a thatched roof. It's nicely furnished and the double bed was comfy. We even spent time in the pretty garden opposite the cottage, reading and having refreshments after going on our many walks in the area and note, there are lots of options. As advertised, there is a parking space, but be warned it is a challenge in a larger car as the entrance is snug. We reversed in, it was easier. There is a bed and accessories for a dog, so they're very welcome in the cottage. Please note that there is no wardrobe in the double bedroom, but there is a recess in the bathroom for hanging up clothes and that was fine. We recommend The Grove Inn which is only a two minute walk away. The hosts are very friendly, they've good local ales on tap and the food was terrific. It's a very popular pub, so make sure that you book a table! All-in-all, it's a cosy place to stay and we would love to revisit. Hopefully, we may even get to see a wild otter or Kingfisher next time!?!

  The property was lovely, comfortable beds , good bath & shower , nicely set out kitchen & breakfast area and snug lounge.

  A pleasant garden but cut off by the shared driveway, not a major issue- due to the cold evenings didn’t really get used. Pleasant and friendly neighbourhood with a pub at a short walk, which was great for food or a drink. Not much else to the hamlet, nearest shops about 5 miles away.. however the owner had stocked up with essentials so we didn’t have to travel through the very narrow country lanes too much to get into the town. Would recommend only two people staying to be comfortable… more might feel a little overcrowded and fight for the one bathroom facilities!

  This is a lovely house in a great location, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. There's a well stocked kitchen and lots of space for our large, diverse crowd to play and relax, and a range of games and books for rainy days. The garden is small but cleverly designed to provide two good outdoor spaces. Parking is a bit tricky, but only £25 for a weekly pass for a public car park 5 mins walk away. 15 mins walk from the valley of the rocks one way, and the sweet cliff railway the other way. The dog welcome pack was a nice touch!

  Lovely cottave that had been done up to a really high standard. All the finishes are lovely. Fab having two bathrooms in a small property. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Very private location with a nice gravelled garden area and bbq. We enjoyed our stay. A bit further out to drive to things than we had originally planned but we still enjoyed the beaches at Croyde and Barricane where they do a lovely Sri Lankan curry in the evening. Would recommend the property to a couple or small family.
