We had a lovely stay at Bluebell Byre with our 2 sons. In Belgium, having a public footpath in your backyard doesn't exist, so we love it here because it means the landscape is absolutely fine to see! Also the birds welcomed us, and on a sunny day (we had some, not many) it was very relaxing to have breakfast with this view. It was nice to have information and maps in the cottage, and in the guestbook we could read good recommendations. There's enough space and equipment (some small pans, but with some creativity that works as good as home), a bit too much pillows, actually that only adds to the authenticity of the Byre. This was what we expected, so the information on the website means you get what you see. It was also easy to communicate with the owners, very helpfull they live nextdoor. And so much to visit, Rye, Sissinghurst, Bodiam, Tenterden, Batemans... Lovely area!

Had a wonderful stay at Bluebell hosted by Heather and James. We have holidayed at this location on many occasions over the years and were a little apprehensive at the change of ownership. We shouldn't have been, as we where made very welcome on our arrival (the complimentary goodies were fantastic) and the cottage accomodation (Cable TV, excellent WiFi an added bonus) was lovely and comfortable. The lake is now far more accessible due to extensive cutting/clearing and we will be looking to land some biggies next year. Enjoyed the log fire on a couple of nights which just adds to the charm of the location. Fantastic break which we very much enjoyed, and we will be returning in 2024.

It's our last night in this lovely characterful cottage and we're all sad to say goodbye. We brought out children here 5 years ago when our daughter was little more than a baby and it has been great to come back. This time there is a fabulous upgraded bathroom which is a real improvement. We hope to come again soon. We highly recommend Bodiam Castle, Leeds Castle, Hever Castle (we like our castles!) Kent Life for a family fun day with something for everyone. Canterbury Cathedral and Capel le Ferne for Battle of Britain history. Tenterden is a lovely little town and we also visited the Motor Museum in Rolvenden. A lovely holiday in a lovely cottage Thank you.

The cottage is lovely, and the garden is a real sun trap. Everything in the cottage was well thought through and we loved the art work and ornaments. Even loved the record collection! Leeds Castle was well worth a visit and the gardens were amazing. Dungeness is a must see. Bexhill and Hastings was well worth a visit and the countryside is beautiful. A visit to the Folkestone Harbour Arm , the various food shacks, and "The Beach" is a good day out. We finished the week off with a visit to Tenterden Food Festival. Week went too fast, and we`d love to stay for another week. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had a lovely time at this cottage! The secure enclosed garden was perfect for our dog, and the surrounding grounds and lake created a beautiful setting for morning coffee. Our dog loved exploring the area around the lake, and the footpath right outside the cottage made it easy to enjoy the outdoors. With dog-friendly pubs nearby, we felt very welcome throughout our stay. The only minor drawback was the noise from the road behind the cottages, but it didn’t detract much from our experience. Overall, it was a perfect holiday, and we would definitely return!
