  Positives: Clean and nicely decorated, extra sofa bed if two single occupants arrive, well-stocked with equipment and mod cons.

  Negatives: The picture of the garden, that is used as the primary selling point, is misleading. The last autumn's leaf fall had not been raked up, the furniture was old, tatty and falling apart. The garden has had about three years of usage since established (according to the guest book entries), and it looked like no-one was bothering to maintain it. It was a big disappointment, as we had expected to see something more well-maintained like the picture. No guestbook, and occupant information like an updated wi-fi password or local area information was clearly displayed/provided. We used a clearly displayed sign for the Wi-fi password which was out of date, battled with it for half an hour, and eventually had to go and knock on the door of the main house to ask for the information. Eventually, we found informational items tucked in behind the TV, a day later. We felt that it was a bit of an oversight to not make the location of these much clearer or to update their sign. We felt that the owners of the accommodation could have attended better to the small things, and the garden was a big disappointment.

  The cottage was basically good but there were a number of issues that needed attention - the shower over the bath was falling apart - a number of doors wouldn’t open and shut properly - the vacuum cleaner was unsafe to use - there was no wheelie bin to put our rubbish in when we left - the information folder needed updating as many places were no longer open - there were a variety of phone numbers which could be used to contact the owner, some seemed to be outdated as there was no reply to our emails when we tried to contact her However the outlook from the cottage over the fields and surrounding countryside was very good

  The first thing we were told was we are not allowed pets and told the owners dogs will kill my small cat even though it said pets allowed.

  We weren't allowed out after 9 as the host did not like that . Were told to keep noise level down although i have a 3 years old son who just likes to play in the garden with the little stones. Then we were sent a rude message after we left. They also blamed us for previous broken stuff even though we cleaned up really well before we left. I am 29 years old asian man that stayed there with my 3 years old son and my pregnant wife . But they made us feel very uncomfortable and i felt like we were treated bit different . Bit sad and disappointed :(

  We loved our stay at Ghyll Park Farm - it is definitely much better than the description and pictures suggest - so spacious and finished to a very high standard.

  Communication with the host was excellent! We particularly loved looking out on the lambs in the field in front. Plenty of the attendees mentioned that they'd like to bring their own families along. Only two things that could have improved out stay: 1. A toast rack!, and 2. Instructions on how to change the central heating temperature set-point - it was set to 21 degrees and we were very warm and couldn't find anything in the welcome information about how to unlock the heating panels.

  “This house is really excellent for groups 2-6 people. Such a big house with 3 bedrooms, great living and separate dining room. Everything is there, you don’t need to bring anything. Kitchen is great and the rest of the house has a nice atmosphere, as well as the garden and the view over the Hartfield fields. The location of the house is perfect for short and longer stay as Kent, being the Garden of England surrounds this house.
