What our customers say about their holidays

We had a wonderful stay at Ducks Ditty.
I had my three children who are 11, 18 & 20 with me and of course our three year old Cocker Spaniel. I was amazed at how clean it was and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I took some fans as it has been so hot so that was handy on the hottest day. The grounds are maintained beautifully and everyone was comfortable. It was a great place to visit some of the sights in Cornwall from and very dog friendly. But be warned it is quite secluded so if you are after the more commercial sights, you will need to navigate the winding Cornish roads. However, if you want more secluded, slower pace where you can explore with the dog, then this is perfect. There is a recommendation of a nice walk with a pub that is dog friendly in the visitors book and we all said we would definitely return to take our beloved pooch there. I would highly recommend booking this place, the owners maintain it so well and there are lovely little personalised touches such as hand made biscuits on arrival and individually personalised cottages, bags with blankets, towels and bowls for the dog. It was simply a very pleasant stay. Thank you so much, we would love to return one day. We have some lovely memories of our time as a family there, the kids were able to get their Wi-Fi working, I was unable to but I didnât mind, it was a welcome break for me. It was so nice to get them all off their devices and get outside in nature and we all thoroughly enjoyed taking a break from our busy lives.

Gorgeous place not overlooked & the lake area is so nice.
lovely & clean & attention to detail inside with nice modern touches, ornaments to make it feel homely & the biggest TV Iâve seen! Spacious, loads of storage & nice little seating area on the deck, which is enclosed for dogs. Good little welcome pack too. You can hear the traffic from the M6 & busy A road, not that it bothered me & it means itâs so easy to get to. Couple of things that I didnât take as I assumed they would be provided is a hairdryer & washing up liquid so we missed those & my daughter was gutted we couldnât get the led lights working around the TV unit as shown on the pictures, couldnât find any details on how to switch these on. itâs a bit of a surprise that the park do not recycle the rubbish, but thatâs on the park. All in all lovely relaxing stay in the lovely lodge & I would return for another visit.

Bungalow very nice, big enough for two.
Beds clean and comfortable. We were disappointed with the smell of damp dogs but this went after a couple of days. Cushions on sofas smelt âdirtyâ and covers were dirty with dog hairs. The seat cushions on both sofas were flat making it hard to get up, my disabled husband had so much trouble he had to sit at the table the whole week - tried sitting on the cushions but was unstable. The cold bathroom tap is still fierce, kitchen tap still drips, shower plug holes slow draining. The Pub had closed over a year ago, same for the shop. Will not be coming back, a couple we spoke to said the same about the sofas in their bungalow and said they wonât be back either. Sorry to be so negative but with all the âhypeâ from other people we felt very let down. After saving for a year we were very disappointed.

On arrival central heating & lights on and a lovely welcome basket. Also milk, butter & cheese in the fridge & the bottle of wine was very much appreciated after a long drive. No expense spared with toiletries. The property was wonderful clean and tidy and open plan. The kitchen was beautiful. Just an observation, no blinds or curtains on French windows, would be nice for some privacy. The garden was enclosed for the dog, side gate was not locked, no padlock. Walking distance to the harbour. Fantastic location for eating out in Port isaac, nice stroll back to the property to watch the DVD's Doc Martin. Would definitely stay in Miss Fishers again.

The Brambles is located at the back of the park, the patio doors open onto a gorgeous area with rose bushes and seating area which creates a private environment. The chalet had a home from home feel with everything needed for our stay. The chalet was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable. Parking is very close to the chalet. The check in and out process was easy and the owners communication was great. The Brambles is a short drive from the 7 bays and Padstow. St merryn has some good places to eat in or take away if you want and the closest super market is Tesco in Padstow. I would definitely return.
