  On arrival and having unpacked, the first time we flushed the toilet we found that it wasn't working properly and was unusable.

  The office was locked and so we called the two out of hours numbers both of which were on message service. About an hour later a very angry looking young man arrived, he marched through our houseboat without speaking to us, he proceeded to stomp in and out . Then the owner arrived and insisted that the toilet was checked that day which it clearly had not been. It wasn't really all that clean anyway. If on cleaning and flushing it would have been found faulty . When I disputed her claim the owner just rudely talked over me . We then had to pack up all our belongings and move to another houseboat.

  A lovely converted Chapel set in a small village in south Norfolk. The village has no shops but the house is close to a major arterial road giving good access to amenities. The cottage was perfect for us and our 6 year old cocker spaniel. The house is light and airy, well furnished with practically everything you need. The garden is enclosed and dog proof. The owners did a great job in making sure visitors feel welcome and provide a plentiful stock of provisions. The only downside: this review is likely to result in less availability when I want to book the cottage in the future…

  The Old Chapel is nothing short of perfect for a quiet relaxing break with your dog. The chapel itself is beautiful, light, brilliantly well equipped and with high quality equipment, fixtures and fitting throughout, a ‘friendly’ space with all you might need for a home away from home. The owners obviously understand that dogs are a member of the family, to be welcomed and feel safe and comfortable as much as the humans. Ours loved it, and was the most settled she has ever been away from home. We loved it too, by far the best cottage we have ever stayed in, highly recommended.

  We had a fantastic week at the Old Chapel. Cannot fault the accommodation at all. 100% for cleanliness, high quality equipment and style. Beautiful welcome pack - bacon, eggs, bread, milk and wine. They also looked after our dog with treats and toys. Bed was large and very comfortable. Enclosed garden for our dog which was a great bonus. Location was fabulous for us as first timers to Norfolk to explore and good walks with our dog. We would definitely recommend to our family and friends. Great communication from our host so thank you.

  Host fantastic, so helpful and welcoming. Their whole property is smart and clean. They have worked very hard to offer a very smart and comfortable lodge, welcome basket, everything you need for a perfect stay. Lodge also has a beautiful wrap around secure garden. Our dog loved it, as did we. It's by far the best self catering at that price range that we have ever stayed in. We send thanks to the host for a relaxing and wonderful stay, and we hope to return ? ? plenty to do all around ? There is nothing we didn't like.
