What our customers say about their holidays
Samantha - Verified booking
This is the 3rd time for us staying at the Nook, we have also booked for a week in August 2025.
As like the other stays, the Nook has been very comfortable and exceeded our expectations. The first time we bought our 2 children and 2 sausage dogs and the second time we brought the above as well as our granddaughter all of which loved it. This time we decided to have a child free weekend with just me and my husband with the 2 sausage dogs. The only issue we had with this stay was could not get the radiator to come on in the main living area which meant of a morning the room was very very cold. I suffer with a complex chronic pain condition and the cold makes my pain worse. Once we were up we would leave the doors open and it would soon warm to an actual comfortable temperature. This could have been reported whilst we were staying there but we didnât want to cause any hassle. I know if I did it would have been sorted asap and we were only there for 2âdays. If the children were with us or it had been a longer stay then I would have reported it. This would not be affecting us on future stays as I am sure it will be looked at and we are staying August 2025 so hoping we will not need heating at this point. Than you for allowing us to stay the Nook and other than the stay in August 2025 I am sure there will be many more. The Nook is a home from home and I will be 100% recommending the accommodation as the place to stay in Tywyn.

Just returned from a lovely holiday in an excellent cottage.
It has everything we needed, including a Nespresso coffee machine which was a real bonus! The furniture including the bedrooms is all very comfortable and the decor, particularly the spectacular slate wall in the double bedroom all create an excellent ambience to the cottage. We ate, including breakfast, outside whenever the weather permitted taking in the lovely views all around. The gardens are excellent for sitting in and enjoying the good weather and also totally contained for our two dogs to run around in. The Railway Inn, over the road, offers an excellent choice of local beers as well as the more traditional plus superb home cooked food at lunch and in the evening. There are lots of places to visit within a short drive. A ride on the Talyllyn Railway is a must! You can hear the train and catch glimpses of it through the trees from the back garden. Whilst there we had a visit from the original Arthurâs brother who was back in the area for a visit. It was good having a chat with him about the house and village. We would highly recommend it and hope to return next year.

We book a cottage every year and Arthur's Cottage is the best one we have ever been to.
We honestly cannot recommend it enough, it far exceeded our expectations. It is cosy, comfortable, has excellent facilities, has lovely character and a very pretty enclosed garden that was very safe for our furbabies and with spectacular views front and back. We couldn't believe how close all the beautiful walks are.. spectacular waterfall woodland walks just 5 minutes walk up lane from back gate, and a beautiful mountain walk just over 5 minutes from front gate down far side of play park. Short drives to Tywyn, Aberdyfi, and castell y bere which we loved, and many other magical places. We highly recommend booking Arthur's Cottage, you definitely won't be disappointed. Very good communication off the lovely owners too.

I came across this cottage by chance when searching for dog friendly cottages and how pleased I am to have found it!
The cottage was 100% perfect for our needs and plenty of room for us, as a couple, two dogs plus two granddaughters aged 4 and 10. Everything was so thoughtfully presented, with lovely little touches (torches in bedside drawers) plus everywhere was meticulously clean and uplifting. The secure little gardens, as well as the many breathtaking walks straight out of the door were also a real bonus. We enjoyed the little railway, Magic Lanten Cinema in Towyn and King Arthurâs Labyrinth. Aberdovey and Towyn beaches provided fun for the dogs and plenty of paddling for the girls. Finally the owners were great with their communication and couldnât have been more friendly and accommodating- a huge thank you!

We had a very happy family holiday with our extended family of 3 generations. Absolutely stunning location and views, very well-placed for spectacular local walks. The garden was completely secure for our dogs (2x large and 1x medium), which was great and meant we could relax when the dogs were outside. (although dog owners please note: if you have a dog that can and will jump 3 foot fences this may not be the case. There are sheep in the field beyond). The cottage is extremely well-stocked with books and maps on the local area, history, local walks and mountain climbing guides etc. We wished we could have stayed several more weeks to explore some more! Thank you for a lovely holiday.
