What our customers say about their holidays

We had a lovely stay.
The owner was very helpful. She came over to say hi and asked if we needed anything - which we did, we asked for a sheet for the cot bed, which I thought would have been provided with the cot. The cot didnât have a mattress, it was a very basic hard base, you could feel the bars through it so our baby couldnât sleep in it which was a shame. So I would just suggest that the owner purchases a mattress for the cot or you bring your own. The only other negative was that the property is listed as dog friendly â¦.. however the garden isnât enclosed - it is open so your dog can get out in the corner - where the owner and a gentleman both walked through the garden while we were there which I was a little surprised at. There is also a shed/building attached to the garden where there are several dogs kept and they will bark every time you go in the garden which obviously if you like dogs you wonât mind but itâs still a little annoying if you are going for peace and quietâ¦. It also unsettled out dog who is quite nervous. The owner walked the dogs off leash through the garden a few times which I was also a little surprised at as I wouldnât recommend the property to anyone with nervous or reactive dogs. Other than that, the property has everything you could need. There was nice touches like dvds, books, plenty of toilet roll, towels etc. It was quaint, clean and comfortable. The view was stunning and the garden was great for kids with bbq, climbing frame and trampoline. I think itâs just worth knowing that if youâre taking your dog itâs not enclosed and there are other dogs there and bring your own cot.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location, masses of traffic free dog walks from the door.
Very very muddy - the owners very kindly allowed us to use the hose in the yard to wash off our very dirty dog - she had a whale of a time running through the fields and bogs but boy did she get filthy. Very thoughtfully layed out and equipped. There was even a torch in the bedside drawer for nighttime loo visits. Lovely decor. Super comfortable bed and soft squashy pillows. We didn't find the sofa particularly comfortable, not for the two of us to sit on anyway, a little on the small side and not a high enough back for us. The heating and hot water arrangement was a bit of a pain - we had to keep switching the hot water tank on and off for baths and showers which isn't ideal but it can't be helped if you have a property that isn't on mains gas. But don't understand why it couldn't be on a timer. Fabulous bath, water stayed hot for a long time in it. Very nice, conscientious and helpful owners. A basket containing fresh bread and cake/hot cross buns along with milk and 'home-made' lemonade was a lovely and much appreciated touch. If you're staying for any length of time and wish to do any cooking, you'll need to take cooking oil, tin foil, cling film etc and oven gloves with you. Plus spare coat hangers if you wish to hang up any more than five garments. Overall it was pretty much perfect for us and our needs, including the two parking spaces, which is very rare with a property for two.

We had the most wonderful week at Hallgarth Farm.
Sue & Matthew are outstanding hosts. They made our stay even more enjoyable, always so kind, friendly and helpful and happy to answer the many questions our son (9 years) asked about the farm and the wonderful animals. The lodge is beautifully set up and offers a very comfortable stay with breathtaking views and stunning sunsets every evening. We loved the hot tub in the morning at sunrise & at sunset and also later in the evening we often sat enjoying a drink under the stars. The BBQ set up was great and there was plenty of space for our elderly dog to potter about. There is a lovely play area set up with plenty to do for children and the lodge balcony overlooks the area. We loved the outdoor oversized Jenga! We stayed at the lodge during the heatwave with temperatures reaching 32 degrees (it was hot) but the lodge was cool and there was plenty of shaded areas to sit out side if you so wish which was great for my elderly mother who loved to enjoy the views. If you are active there are some great run / walk routes in all directions from the lodge, overlooked by the Malvern Hills. There are also some lovely and quaint pubs nearby and places to eat which allow dogs. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. It is truly a wonderful place to stay. We all had a wonderful time and will most definitely be returning.

We stayed at the lodge for our (dog friendly) honeymoon break and can't recommend it enough.
Sue couldn't be more helpful, we felt very welcomed and were extremely relaxed and comfortable during our stay. The lodge is beautiful and has everything you could need, even a great selection of games, books & DVDs. The hot tub is fab and is surrounded by lovely views. There are so many places to visit and things to do nearby, we'd definitely like to go back again. We had our 2 dogs with us who settled well and also had a great time. The garden isn't secure (which we knew) but there's lots of well maintained space to exercise & play with the dogs on lead if needed and endless walks on the doorstep. We also hired a secure dog field which was less than 10 minutes away so they could have a good run then were happy to lay by the hot tub in the sun. The setting is very quiet and peaceful whilst only being a short distance away from local amenities. Everything was just perfect and we'd highly recommend both the lodge and the hosts. Thanks very much for lovely stay.

A truly wonderful place to stay, the lodge was beautifully presented and very well equipped.
Views outstanding, from breakfast on the balcony to star gazing from the hot tub and so peaceful, bliss. Sue & Matthew were great hosts, so helpful & the welcome basket of goodies was a lovely surprise & very much enjoyed! As a family staying with two dogs it was great that we could walk them directly from the property, lots of public footpaths to explore, and the outside wash facility was a godsend when one of our delightful hounds discovered fox poo to roll in! Visits included Croome & Brockhampton, Stratford upon Avon, Malvern Hills (incredible views). Droitwich Lido was great but imagine it would be very busy in school holidays. Worcester Woods Country park was good for a cool walk for the dogs. We mainly ate in but enjoyed good food at The Nightingale, Anchor pub&kitchen and also The Dolphin Inn at Bishampton, all dog friendly. All in all a fantastic visit & we wouldnât hesitate to book again!
