  We loved this property.

  It's set in peaceful surroundings and has everything you need. The house is huge with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. One of the bedrooms having an en-suit. The beds are comfy too. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need. The cooker and oven is easy to use. There's even a warming plate thingy but we didn't use it. There are two conservatories, one of which is a games room with a pool table. This has to be the best property we have stayed at. There are narrow roads to get to the property and you drive through the owners farm. It's very quiet. The town of Darvel is just over a mile away and has convenience shops. Kilmarnock is a twenty minutes drive. Good size kitchen and family bathroom, utility room and beautiful garden. Huge driveway also. We loved the property so much, we have booked again next year. The owners are friendly too.

  We love this cottage and have been here twice now and are going back next year.

  We love the size and the fact that it has four bathrooms. It's peace and quiet for us and the surroundings are stunning. It's off the beaten track but is just wonderful with plenty of drives to explore the surrounding areas. The wood burning stove is a plus too. There are however, some issues with the cottage that I have highlighted in the book that's left. One of the living room door handles was stiff, you can't turn off the TV in the living room with the remote, the TV in one of the bedrooms doesn't work and the shower is cold. But otherwise, it has everything you need for a perfect holiday

  Wow what a fabulous property it is.

  The views are amazing, everyday was such a pleasure to look out at the countryside. Snowdrops all around ! It’s a beautiful, spacious house, great for a family get together, we had three generations - pool room & games went down well. The wood burner was amazing - so warm & cosy. The Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. With a choice of dining area. This is the Best property we have stayed at - absolutely loved it !! Sad to leave. I would definitely recommend.

  We had a lovely stay in Darvel and the lodge was perfect for a group of friend's visiting the area for a wedding!

  The lodge is a fab size, with multiple socialising areas and a stunning garden overlooking the rolling Darvel hills. Only points we'd like to highlight to the owner was the septic tank seemed to be causing a lot of serious drainage smells in the en-suite shower of the double downstairs and already mentioned was the single bed in the downstairs twin room nearest the window had loose supports that kept falling down, however if nailed in this would address the issue.

  We had a fantastic week at Whiteside, a lovely building in a peaceful setting.

  Both myself and my partner, my elderly parents, my sister, niece her partner and my 8 mth old great nephew had a wonderful time in this very spacious home. Three bedrooms on the ground floor, one with en-suite, meant no stairs to for them with the ready of the property mostly on one level. Lots of areas you could sneak off to and be on your own if you wanted. The property is surrounded by farmland with loads of sheep and lambs and the only noise we heard was them.
