What our customers say about their holidays

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beauâs House!
The interior is gorgeous. Extremely clean, modern and very homely. The amenities are also great - we particularly loved the Nespresso machine! Helen left us a cake & some milk for when we arrived which was a lovely touch. The location is a perfectly central hub to visit all of the gorgeous Cotswold villages. Bourton-on-the-Water (which was our favourite of the villages) is just over 5 minutes away by car. Stow-on-the-Wold is a similar distance away which is also a beautiful village. Beauâs House is on a new build estate which we loved walking round in the evenings. Itâs very quiet & peaceful. There are lots of childrenâs play areas dotted around and so much greenery too. There is a Co-op opposite the house - very convenient! The garden is south-facing & enclosed making it a nice space for all including our toddlers & dogs. There is also parking for 2 cars and an electric charging point. We will definitely be staying here again when we next visit the Cotswolds!

A great location close to many of the well known Cotswolds towns/villiages.
The dining and kitchen facilities provided everything we wanted. The two main bedrooms were superb, but the third bedroom was small in comparison. Cothes storeage was poor. The 12" wide metal 'wardrobe' was more of an industrial locker, and was out of place with all the oak furniture in the rest of the property. Together with a small chest of drawers, and two even smaller bedside sets it failed to provide adequate facilities for a couple staying for 5nights. The 20yard walk through the lounge and dining areas to visit the bathroom was disappointing. The lounge furniture was tired and in need of replacement. The log burner was brilliant and much needed as the weather for our New Year stay was cold and dismal. Given the £2,000 price tag for a 5 night stay it was let down by the 'poor relation' 3rd. bedroom and the lounge funiture, and, in our view, did not represebnt good value for money. It's a great shame as it could have received a 5* rating otherwise.

Postmaster's Lodgings was a beautiful property, very well presented with some welcoming touches on our arrival.
The wine, biscuits and milk were gratefully received. My twin boys did find the smallest bedroom difficult to share, so would have benefitted from the larger bedroom being converted into a twin, but no one realised that all my boys are closer in stature to men than children! I would say it would have been helpful to have some simple instructions to operate the oven as a manual with numerous operating details proved unhelpful when arriving with a hungry family. By the time we left I still didn't understand how on the 2 occasions I'd got the oven on, what it was that had finally brought success! One other thing to bear in mind is that in choosing such a central location in the heart of a popular town, noise levels are to be endured. For this reason only, I would look for a quieter location for future holidays.

We had a fantastic week at the Postmaster's Lodging.
It was very well equipped, and the extra touches were lovely, in particular - wine and biscuits. The kitchen had everything we needed and the soap, toilet rolls and 2 towels each were very much appreciated. The beds were enormous and very comfortable. The owners seemed to have thought of everything. The position of the property was exactly what we were hoping for, lovely places to eat out and also good takeaways as well as the facilities to cook the occasional meal to eat in. The walks were fabulous and the views breathtaking. It's one of the prettiest places we've stayed in. Parking wasn't a problem at all, we parked on the pay and display carpark near the library and then paid online each day (£1 per day). We fully recommend staying in Winchcombe and definitely at the Postmaster's lodging.

I came to stay at the Post Masterâs Lodgings with my son, daughter-in-law and two granddaughters who had just arrived over from Japan.
The Post Masterâs Lodgings is in the centre of Winchcombe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was warm, clean and very comfortable. The open plan kitchen sitting room was spacious light and airy. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. We loved the outlook over the streets and rooftops of Winchcombe from the bedroom windows. We found Winchcombe a delightful place to be in - full of history and interesting shops. Winchcombe is an also a good centre from which to visit the Cotswolds and Cheltenham. We did not find the lack of parking a problem. The short walk to the public car park was not too far or too inconvenient. It was good to stay in a place that had history and character and I can recommend The Post Masterâs Lodgings.
