What our customers say about their holidays
Stella - Verified booking
We loved staying here: 4 adults.
Weather was a bit dodgy but this didn't matter when we were so comfortable. It's great to have Swellies/La Marina so close for a bite out. And the pub on the waterfront is perfect. Some of us managed a high tide dip from the slipway. We went in all directions and had a very pleasant holiday. Here's what we liked that was provided: Some dishwasher tabs. Washing up liquid (not always in holiday houses). Teabags. Soap. Here's what we found slightly annoying: No pint of milk when we arrived very tired and grumpy after a long, traffic-laden drive. So black tea only. Only one toilet. It might get awkward if there were 6 staying. No information about the local Londis (10 min walk on main street). No cafetière. The Nespresso type coffee machine had only one coffee pod provided. Two milk but no use without the coffee! We wouldn't know where to get more. No bread knife (really annoying if you get decent bread). No washing tabs or liquid/powder. Just a couple would be nice. If you're intending to cook you need to bring: wooden spoon/spatula for the non-stick pan. (There is a plastic slice thingy) Easy enough to get. We like a boiled egg. Bring some egg cups if you do too. A pasta fork. Salt/pepper etc I'm sure everyone can do their search for the Londis store, but the other things, though small, do let it down from being perfect to being good. This is meant to be a place for self catering, so there need to be the things there to do that. As for the milk, this is a detail that most places include now. It's 50p and makes such a comforting difference when you've come a long way. I hope this doesn't sound too much like whinging: we loved Anchor's Rest - it's a lovely layout, it's very comfortable and the balcony is great, plus the open aspect at the back. It's also very well located to visit a wide range of places.

Really enjoyed our stay at Beudy'r Wennol.
Lovely barn conversion, with lots of space for 6 adults. Loved the open plan kitchen/living room and spent many hours sitting at the kitchen table enjoying meals and playing games with our family. 3 nice bedrooms (although one of them doesn't have any drawers/hanging space which is a bit inconvenient). Beds were large and comfy. Nice gardens both front and back (although the lawns could have done with being cut before we arrived). A few suggestions for improvements: 1. More utensils/cooking equipment in the kitchen - only had 2 small frying pans, no large deep frying pan or wok so we had to go and buy one. Also, very little in the way of dishes/oven dishes to prepare meals in, again we had to purchase one. Such a beautiful kitchen should be better equipped for cooking meals for 6 people. Also no oven gloves which proved challenging. 2. Would be nice if there were things like washing up liquid/bin liners/kitchen roll provided. 3. Inadequate recycling bins - 3 small boxes for both properties (we were unable to put out a lot of our rubbish) 4. Insufficient garden furniture for 6 people - we were unable to all sit outside at the same time as there were only 4 chairs (2 at the front and 2 at the back which we had to keep moving around to follow the sun). Also a bigger table to seat 6 so that meals could be eaten outside 5. Bathroom toilet didn't flush very well and en-suite toilet had a leak. 6. Blinds of some sort on the skylights - very light very early in the mornings! 7. No point in having the pool table as there is not enough room around it play properly PS Thanks for the lovely fruit cake which we enjoyed on our arrival :-)

The cottage was very nicely presented, warm and comfortable.
We had a number of minor niggles. There was no information/welcome pack telling us anything about how things worked etc. There were not enough glasses, cups and crockery so when the dishwasher was full, there was a distinct shortage of stuff. Most of the kitchen cupboards were empty, so itâs not as if there was no room to keep things. There was not enough variety of things to cook with, such as a good selection of bakeware, pots and pans. Most of the toilets were difficult to flush. One had a very loose toilet seat and most had no loo brush. There were no cleaning products. There were no chopping boards and not a good selection of food preparation knives. Extra towels and tea towels would be nice. They could do with a selection of books, games, jigsaws etc. for rainy days. Guests will often leave things like that, but it would be good to get a collection going. There are lots of empty cupboards to keep things like that in. These are just minorniggles and shouldâve taken as suggestions to improve the visitor experience. We had a lively time there and the property is In an excellent location close to lots of great places to visit. Would definitely recommend it.

Absolutely stunning property, it felt like we were staying in our dream home.
We couldnât believe it from the moment we stepped in, it was so worth the long drive. So warm with the underfloor heating, and a cosy wood burner as well. We didnât use the woodburner as much as we thought as the strong winds ate up the logs quickly and the underfloor heating is so good on its own. Lots of space for cooking yummy meals with all the utensils you need. We climbed Snowdon while we were there and it was lovely coming back to a hot bath and warm floor under our feet. The furniture and decor are gorgeous, the beds are like clouds. Didnât want to leave! It must be even better in summer when you can use the garden too. We will definitely book again and recommend this place very highly to anyone thinking of booking. Only small things were the charger socket in the bathroom doesnât work, it would be nice to have some curtains in the living room/kitchen (might be just me though :)) and the toilets donât have great water flow for flushing. The owner was helpful as we arrived late she kindly checked on us later the next morning. Thank you for a great stay in such a beautiful place.

Dolfor is a lovely cottage in Nefyn in which to holiday.
The garden is very pretty and has a great BBQ and garden dining table. The conservatory, set up as a dining room, is a good alternative on non-sunny days. The parking area is a bonus. Dolfor is an old stone cottage which has been adapted well for modern living. It is quirky and charming. The kitchen is modern and is kitted out with everything you could possibly need - cake making equipment, plastic boxes for picnics, a blender, sharp kitchen knives, to name but a few. The laundry area has containers with beach toys, BBQ kit, beach gear. We found everything we needed and more. Appropriate toys were left in the house for the two young children in our party to play with - a very thoughtful touch. The sofas and beds are very comfortable. This us a lovely cottage for families, contact with the owner is excellent, and it will be my first choice for another holiday in Nefyn. Dorothy Carr 23/30 July 2021
