What our customers say about their holidays

What a magnificent place. My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend here and could not have wished for anything better. The Haybarn is a home created for comfort -- from the large, comfy couch to the well-equipped kitchen to the large screen TV (nicely disguised to blend in with the artwork) to the amazingly comfortable bedrooms and large bathrooms. We visited during a cold and windy weekend and ended up spending more time inside than planned as we had a puncture on our way to dinner so had to turn back, dine in (a good second choice since my husband is a fabulous cook!) and wait for the RAC to arrive the following day. What could have been a challenging situation turned out to be quite lovely: dinner at "home" with a good movie on the telly and a few glasses of wine. And we had our anniversary dinner the following night (at an excellent pub named The Parrot, about 10 minutes away in Forest Green). We both agreed that the Haybarn was one of the loveliest places we've stayed in. There's not a sound to be heard since it's in the countryside on a beautiful farm, and it's warm and cozy enough to make you want to snuggle up and go nowhere. We were also blown away by the very generous supplies left for us by the owners - that far exceeded most of the place we've stayed. It's on our list of places to return to.

This was my wife & I's second stay at Limefitt and third consecutive year in the Lakes using Park Dean Resorts .
This Lodge was in immaculate condition , excellent location , tucked away at the top of a private cul de sac with glorious views from the decking . The Lodge was very airy and modern with every eventuality catered for . ( The sound quality of the docking station for my I-pod was brilliant ) . Well equipped kitchen ( although we were only there for 3 nights so ate out during the daytime ) and well suited to a medium sized family . Our little Westie , Poppy , settled in straight away and loved the fact that she could stroll around the decking as she pleased . Little things like courtesy lighting in the bathrooms so as not to disturb people and generous stock of DVDs and games if you wanted them . The check in at reception was effortless , site in immaculate condition again . The leather sofa was not the most comfortable ( sliding about like a bar of soap ) but that's just our personal preference , all told a great "find" for us - we'd love to come back again . What did you enjoy most about your stay? The quality of the lodge and it's immaculate condition , great location on the site . What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests? Visited the Lakes Aqaurium for the first time - very pleasant - better again if you have time & combine it with a steamer trip .

Iâm not sure where to start.
The pictures alone of the pod were beautiful, but actually being there in person was just something else. The location is stunning! Waking up in the morning to views of the fields, viaduct and hills, was just beautiful! Relaxing in the hot tub under the stars. The pod itself was just adorable! I went with my two children, and I worried that being pretty much in the middle of nowhere would mean theyâd struggle to be entertained, however they were just so taken in with where they were, and chatting the sheep that surrounded the site, that they never seemed to struggle to find entertainment. The walk from the pods to The Station Inn pub is a lovely, scenic short walk, and the food at the bar is second to none, again with stunning views of the surrounding area. There is also plenty to do in the surrounding areas that donât require too far of a car journey, so many walks to go on, the caves are just 10 minutes down the road, and Lakeland Maise Maze is just 40 minutes away, perfect day out for families! All in all, I could not recommend this place enough, the owners and cleaners were extremely helpful! And the experience itself was just phenomenal. We will 100% be returning! If youâre an outdoors type of person and find beauty in nature, then this is 100% a must for an experience!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Olive Lodge in early June and were pretty lucky with the weather so we got to enjoy the comfortable external furnishings almost as much as the lovely interior ones.
The Lodge has everything you need to enjoy a week long stay, regardless of the weather (sunshine helps though!). It is ideally located very close to the local beaches, Avon Beach is great for those with mobility issues, and on a park with really good facilities which cater particularly well for children and the young at heart (rekindled our youth briefly in the arcades!). The on-site restaurant serves up a decent breakfast and dinner if you want a break from cooking in the well equipped and decent-sized Lodge kitchen, but don't wish to travel. The Lodge is a good size for a 4 person stay with two bathrooms, both with showers (one of which is very small but adequate). The multiple Velux windows help to keep the living area relatively cool on a hot sunny day and has a fireplace to keep you nice and snug on colder evenings. If eating out, we would say you can't beat The Rising Sun pub and Lins fish & chips (best ever!) for quality. If you are holidaying in the wonderful county of Dorset, we would highly recommend The Olive Lodge, which stands out as the best amongst its neighbours on the park

The property is immaculately clean and tidy.
Constructive criticism only, generic constant references to a dishwasher when there isnt one should be removed, little stickers with instructions everywhere particularly referencing the pandemic which is no more should be removed and a personalised info sheet on the property added to a folder or stuck on the door but would be nicer in a folder or laminate on the table. TV - I appreciate the property is in the middle of nowhere but its 2023 you can get booster boxes for broadband to allow visitors access to TV on demand at least, the property is fairly isolated and the weather isnt a certain so it would be much better to be able to access channels at your leisure and not a costly addition. Leave a welcome pack of some kind and people will use it, kitchen foil - this could then be used to protect oven trays, kitchen roll, better rubbish bags , all are necessary but when only staying three nights you dont want to bring a heap of stuff with you and would help the owner keep it clean as people would use it.
