  This house was the most amazing place to stay in the most perfect location. We really couldn't fault it. It was immaculately clean. The decor was to a really high standard whilst maintaining the character of a countryside property. The bedrooms were so comfortable, including the beds for a fab night's sleep and the bedding and decor. We particularly loved the attention to detail of all the local.artwork dotted throughout the house and the interesting objects on display which just addd to the feel of the stay. There is a lovely stroll down to Ivelet bridge from the house which was great to do in the evening. This takes you onto Muker and beyond if you keep following the marked path. This was one of those houses that will always keep in mind for future stays and our 3 children immediately asked when we could stay there again. Thank you for keeping such a wonderful property, you have done an amazing job!

  The cottage is in a lovely location, wonderful views in every direction and within easy driving distance of several excellent pubs. Thea's cottage is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. Lots of puzzles & games available for 'staying in' days and rucksacks for 'going out' days. We really enjoyed a wonderful week. The only problem we had was the heating. The electric radiators are efficient in the kitchen/diner and bedrooms when they are on but we found they were not on for enough time, so we had to regularly switch them to manual. Also, the lounge definitely requires lighting the woodburner to achieve a comfortable temperature, this was a bit of a challenge for us as we had no prior experience with woodburners or open fires-luckily the internet came to our rescue!

  Our whole family, young and old, loved this cottage, we had a fantastic few days here for my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary. The cottage is pristine and very well maintained. All the bedrooms are a good size with comfy beds. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, plenty of crockery for 10, including two kettles so that you can brew up for everyone at once, a very nice touch! The living room and dining room can seat 10 at once comfortably. Muker offers beautiful views and walks, the local pub, The Farmers Arms, literally a 2 min walk from the cottage, is very welcoming and serves delicious meals. There is also a tearoom (we didn’t get chance to visit) and local village shop. We would love to stay again.

  The cottage's location is ideal for walkers, and we were were to do several excellent walks over 6 miles directly from the cottage. Views from the cottage are stunning and it is set on a relatively quiet hillside farm. The cottage is well kept and modernised. It's a longish drive to a supermarket so either factor that it or bring what you need from home. Local village stores have a few things like milk (but get there early). There is no mobile phone signal and the wi-fi connection speed is very slow, and sometimes unusable. The quietness of the location is only marred by two yappy, small dogs (not the farm's other working dogs).

  Thea’s cottage is a superbly renovated modern home from home. It is in such a beautiful spot overlooking the Swale river below. We really enjoyed the wood burning stove each evening in the very cosy and beautifully decorated sitting room. The kitchen was very clean and was very well equipped. We were able to walk straight from the door every day. We enjoyed seeing the local farmers going about their daily jobs right on our doorstep. We were able to choose very suitable walks and were able to soak up the wonderful open landscape that is the Yorkshire Dales.
