  Beautiful part of the country! Every place we visited was so different but all equally fantastic. Driving in the area is not for the faint hearted but you do get used to it (don't get Worthy Toll Road mixed up with the well maintained Porlock Toll Road 🙂) The Exmoor is unhurried, quiet and p.... Beautiful part of the country! Every place we visited was so different but all equally fantastic. Driving in the area is not for the faint hearted but you do get used to it (don't get Worthy Toll Road mixed up with the well maintained Porlock Toll Road 🙂) The Exmoor is unhurried, quiet and people are very friendly and chatty. One of my favourite moments was when we first arrived at the Coach House. The electronic gates slowly opened and I got my first glimpse of the magnificent view from the property. I loved sitting out in the garden soaking up that view. The Coach House is a wonderful place to stay. Loads of room, brilliant views, well equipped and very comfortable. Driving in/out of the gate and parking is not for the faint hearted either but you get used to that too. It was an advantage to have somewhere to park though. We were blessed with a lovely, friendly and helpful "neighbour" for the week. She's been visiting Exmoor for years and has stayed in this accommodation before. She passed on advice about places to visit. Do Porlock Hill on the Exmoor Explorer Double Decker bus! Our new "neighbours" had stayed many times before too. I think this speaks volumes as to how lovely The Coach House and The Stables are. I would highly recommend either of these cottages to stay in whilst exploring the fabulous Exmoor

  This is the second year in December we were able to stay at the Coach house at Porlock Weir. My wife found the cottage on Best Of Exmoor and as covid was still effecting flying out to the USA we had a week on Exmoor. In all fairness we had planned to go back to the USA in 2022 but in April i found .... This is the second year in December we were able to stay at the Coach house at Porlock Weir. My wife found the cottage on Best Of Exmoor and as covid was still effecting flying out to the USA we had a week on Exmoor. In all fairness we had planned to go back to the USA in 2022 but in April i found out I had heart failure-and even now that the treatment has been steadied it meant it was a no again. Due to this we were considered ourselves lucky to get another week with our dogs staying at the Coach House in December. It was almost magical snow was on the ground from our 2nd day and the weather was indeed crisp and even. We wallowed in the joys of the area good people, good places to go and great food in our favourite pubs all while having the base of this fantastic cottage, the presentation is immaculate and the under floor heating just made it toasty while we sat with a glass of beverage on the evenings-warm in the embrace. I can only recommend this cottage and indeed the lovely people who run the company.

  This was an absolutely fabulous place to stay! Super clean, spacious and bright. The bed is great and the sheets were so crisp and clean. Plenty of towels, an excellent power shower and comfortable bath. The views are incredible! Lovely garden for when the sun is out and looking out to sea from .... Plenty of towels, an excellent power shower and comfortable bath. The views are incredible! Lovely garden for when the sun is out and looking out to sea from the kitchen window makes even the washing up enjoyable! Kitchen had pretty much everything you could need and they left a small thing of milk in the fridge for me, as well as tea bags and biscuits. The instructions for various things such as access / heating / wifi / tv etc were all really easy to find and very clear. There were fresh flowers on the table and there was even a hot water bottle hanging on a hook in the bedroom - little details like that make it such a lovely place to stay. I highly recommend to anyone, for a couple or a single person. I was on my own there and felt safe, secure and at peace the whole time. It's in a great location for the area too. Loved it.

  Stayed at the coach house. .amazing views loved the location. A short walk to the hotel pub and cafes and harbour. We had some sunny weather we didn't expect and explored the area .cottage was clean and had such beautiful uninterrupted views over the channel so much better than expected .perfec.... We had some sunny weather we didn't expect and explored the area .cottage was clean and had such beautiful uninterrupted views over the channel so much better than expected .perfect .the gates weren't a problem as managed to get in and out even with neighbours car parked. Well equipped kitchen seemed to have everything supplied including bottle wine.a nice touch and milk in fridge would love to come again maybe when seasons started properly as would love see the harbour and pubs with seating outside with live music . So quiet and peaceful .only minor thing would be the outside appearance of the coach house .inside was lovely and presented well . But the views were exceptional and gardens . We just felt so lucky to be there. Hopefully will be able to come again next year. Thank you.
