Magdalene House in Warkworth is a beautiful Georgian-style house situated in a quiet spot in this picturesque medieval village. Absolutely perfect for families or a couple holidaying together, Magdalene House exudes comfort and style with a contemporary twist. With superb attention to detail, this is a true ‘home from home’.
You can forget the car for a couple of days as there is so much to explore in the village of Warkworth from Magdalene House, from the well preserved and iconic Warkworth Castle and pretty 14th century Norman Church, Hermitage carved from rock and only accessible by boat and the huge sandy beach to the great range of restaurants, pubs and little independent shops, you’ll be spoilt for choice!

Perfect holiday home, very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed! The location was ideal. The highlights for us were all of the beaches nearby, Bertram’s cafe in Warkworth, The Jolly Fisherman in Craster and The Potted Lobster in Bamburgh. We hope to come again!

We have wanted to visit Northumberland for so long and have not been disappointed. Our trip has been made even more special because of this beautiful house. It has really felt like home and has been the perfect base for our various trips. The welcome pack was very thoughtful as was the doggy pack. Warkworth beach was visited daily, the various castles are unbelievable and Cragside (National Trust) was literally out of this world. Thank you for making our 2024 holiday with Coquet Cottages at Magdalene House amazing. We really appreciate the check in’s from Coquet Cottages.

Many, many thanks. Great property, very well presented and equipped for everything. We had another great holiday in Northumberland, visiting Brinkburn, Druridge Bay, Tynemouth and Seaton Deleval/Seaton Sluice. We enjoyed lots of lovely walks on the beaches with our dogs. The weather stayed kind. It was brilliant being so close to the Mason’s Arms for refreshments. Thanks again.
