If your looking for a quiet break away than look no further. Barn end has been done up to a really high standard. The views any time of the day are nothing short of stunning with the rolling hills in the distance. The whole place including the kitchen is well equipped so we cooked every night. The log burner in the lounge gave great ambience but the whole place was warm enough. It’s situated close to the A6 in a little hamlet, between Buxton and Bakewell. The monsal trail is only a mile away and even with heavy rain and frost you can’t beat a hike. The owners live next door and were helpful with directions. We will definitely be back. Small note there is very limited phone reception (which was great for us to switch off) but the place has really good wifi.

The perfect location to explore the Peak District! With walks right on your doorstep, and Buxton and Bakewell within a 15 minute drive, this cottage couldnt be more central. The cottage itself was warm and cosy, has a fantastically equipped kitchen, cosy living room and comfortable bedroom.

What a gorgeous little cottage with fabulous views across open fields and hills. Close to the Monsal Trail and also places of interest in the dark Peak. The cottage was very cosy and warm. Well equipped kitchen (including a slow cooker that we made use of). Lovely spacious walk in shower. Two very spacious bedrooms. The owners who live next door are very nice people. The area was perfect for our morning dog walk. An outside light at the drive entrance would have been useful as we were visiting in the winter months.. letting the pooch out for a final *** was a bit challenging in the dark (and a bit wet for using a phone torch) I would highly recommend this lovely property if you're looking for a chill out break
