At Laggan Locks there is an on-site shower, toilet and café facilities (March – October) and there is even a floating gastro pub 100m away (March – October).
Braw sleeps 4 and has a wood burning stove, seating, sink, two ring hob, fridge and kettle offers a one off experience for guests to enjoy. It also comes equipped with pots and pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, cups and glasses, firewood, towels, washing-up liquid, tea towels and bed linen. The adjacent shower block houses the bathroom facilities and the neighbouring Locks Cafe sells breakfast items and any 'forgotten essentials' e.g. shampoo. With no minimum stay you can enjoy a good night’s sleep in the comfortable bunk beds before continuing your adventure along the canal.
Being on the Great Glen Way, you can cycle to Banavie and see icon Neptune’s Staircase within 2 hours on gentle off-road tracks. Heading west, you will get to Fort Augustus off road on the flat in an hour or so. A passenger boat passes through every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (end June till end August) if you want to put your bike on the boat and cycle back for a great day out.
