If I could give the property a 6 star rating I would. Anwen, Eifion and family ensured a very warm welcome (The bottle of wine & packet of waffles was a nice touch) The property is well laid out, spotlessly clean and comfortable with decent views. It is 0.3 of a mile up a one lane track off the main road (A487) and the sign for Porthmawr (Private Road) is indistinct and easily missed so needs clearer signage. It would help if in the travelling directions it mentioned that on coming out of the village of Llanon the turning is just before the bus stop (Or just after if coming southbound from Llanrhystud). This said we would have no hesitation in staying there again in the future.

We were made very welcome and enjoyed our stay. With hindsight, longer would have been nicer. Both cottages are still quite new, so the exterior lawn and so on need a little time to bed in - but the owners have done an outstanding job inside and out, taking full advantage of the farm's location to offer great views from both cottages of green hills (South) and sunset over the ocean (West). The only thing we were not so keen on was the wet-room style bathroom with shower - we'd prefer having a bath.

We had the most wonderful stay, completely private, gorgeous walking. I don't think I could find any fault, the cottage was wonderfully stocked with all you could need. We walked for miles each day and rarely saw anyone, so absolutely perfect for people who want to have a complete detox from people or those with a reactive dog. Will definitely recommend but also will come back again if we chose to stay in the same area of Wales again. Fantastic holiday!

Dolau Meurig is a real 'home from home'.
It is very comfortable and well equipped and beautifully decorated. Mary and Bill were extremely welcoming and helpful, recommending places to see and eat. The cottage is ideally furnished and laid out for people like us who are in their later years and lacking in mobility. There is a lot to see and do in the area, although you do need a car! Thank you, Mary and Bill. We have had a wonderful holiday and look forward to another visit if we're able.

Very well equipped. Hosts Mary and Bill were great, very helpful and kind. The views from the cottage are superb. It's lovely and quiet, easy to find and in an area we hadn't explored before. Great that there is a nature reserve within walking distance. On a clear night - magnificent dark skies. Saw red kites every day and were lucky enough to see dolphins on our boat trip. We hope to be back. We would highly recommend Dolau Meurig.
