  From the first moment we stepped into the cottage we all felt at home and at ease.

  It is tastefully decorated and furnished throughout. Alison had left us a very generous welcome pack, very thoughtful lady. Everything you would need in the kitchen was on hand .The garden was fenced off so we knew our dog would be safe and happy. Our short break was based on us being able to relax and be comfortable see the local area and walk our dog, millcott ticked all our boxes and more. Lovely comfortable living space, spacious bedrooms and most importantly super clean very comfortable mattresses. There are tracks at the side of the cottage for walking which go on for miles, hardly see anyone, just enjoy the views and the peacefulness of the lincolnshire countryside. After a long walk relax in the family sized hot tub, listening to the birds by day and looking up to the stars by night. A truly memorable short break . There's also a lovely friendly pub up the road called the royal oak, the sunday dinner is amazing, the staff couldn't do enough for us. Definately recommend a visit. All in all our stay at millcott was relaxing and very enjoyable we couldnt fault a thing, we will definately be booking again.

  Beautiful cottage in a very peaceful surrounding, clean & had everything you would need.

  We met both the owners who were lovely & very accommodating. Only thing is we found the 2 settees too low & hard to get up from although very comfy & the blinds in my bedroom let in a lot of light so found it hard to sleep after daybreak as I like a dark bedroom, but that’s just my personal preference. Beds were extremely comfy with lovely soft duvets. Lovely powerful shower. Water pressure a lot better than here at home sadly. The garden was perfect for the dogs & we loved seeing the sheep in the next field. The dogs were very intrigued with the robotic lawnmower lol. The lake on the farm is idyllic & we spent a lot of happy peaceful hours there taking a picnic with us. Hubby was sorry he hadn’t packed his fishing gear! Would highly recommend. All in all just the break we were looking for. Rest & relaxation. My choice was perfect! We left the cottage as we found it. Clean & tidy. I even hoovered before we left. ☺️

  We have just had one of our most restful and relaxing holidays.

  Hall Farm cottage was a warm and comfortable home from home enjoyed by us and our dogs. The owner introduced herself to us on arrival and made us feel welcome. The location is very peaceful, the neighbouring 3 sheep kept a watchful eye on us from the field, and the sheep themed decor of the cottage adds to its charm. We know the coastal areas well and enjoyed several bracing beach walks at Mablethorpe, Sutton on Sea and Cleethorpes. Louth and Horncastle are lovely towns with great independent shops offering a variety of purchasing opportunities. Our only suggestion, as we both enjoy reading and I like to knit in the evening, would be a change to the living room ceiling light which was quite dim (not sure if this was due to the wattage of the bulb or the colour of the lampshade?). We will definitely recommend Hall Farm Cottage and we hope to return late summer/autumn to enjoy a different seasonal break.

  Great stay at Millcott.

  Everything well presented and spotless! Alison was a perfect host who despite a broken foot was always cheery and welcoming. The garden was plenty big enough and fully enclosed for our two medium sized dogs to charge around in. Wi-Fi was great, but also games and a good selection of books are provided. The welcome pack was full of local delicious goodies that were great fully received! The new installed upgraded hot tub sadly was awaiting the electrician but Alison offered us the use of hers. Millcott is situated in gorgeous countryside but within walking distance to the local pub which also serves food. There are plenty of great walks directly from the door which Alison can point you in the right direction. We certainly wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend Millcott.   We had a really lovely stay, thank you.

  Our first visit to Lincolnshire. We enjoyed being able to go on countryside walks direct from the door. James and Sally were very welcoming and great hosts. Lovely cosy cottage which is well equipped. Loved having TV’s in each room. Bedrooms were a good size and also nice to have a separate toilet from the bathroom. Very peaceful location amid the sheep and farm. Would highly recommend and would stay again. None of these are a deal breaker, just added as some feedback. For us, we missed having a table in the lounge to do a holiday jigsaw and play games on. It was difficult to use the kitchen table for a jigsaw as we needed to use it for dinning. The only other issue for us was the garden wasn’t fully secure for our dog as she is an escape artist.
