Apple Tree cottage is set right in the heart of Westleton. 200 yard walk across the green to the White Horse. Great food and a proper local. About the same distance to the Westleton Crown..very good Sunday lunch. The cottage is a 5 minute drive to Dunwhich Beach…there is a bridal path across Westleton Heath but some of the walk is on the road (not too busy but quite narrow). The cottage is small but very comfortable and well equipped. It has a beautiful secure rear garden and was a great base to visit Sutton Hoo, Framlingham and Southwold. Fantastic location, great secure garden, lounge and bedrooms very comfortable. Our main issue was the general dustiness of the property (TV cabinet and DVD player covered in thick layer of dust), dust and fluff around the floor spaces, and kitchen utensils and cups requiring a good wash before use. The cooking equipment was very dated, especially the frying pans which made cooking a little more challenging than it should be. Not ideal but the location of the property ensured we had a good holiday.

What a gorgeous property, extremely clean and well presented. In a lovely part of the UK and really quiet, especially when sat in the garden. The kitchen is so spacious and a dream to cook in and the lounge is so cozy, especially when the fire is on. The bed is really comfy, the bedroom has a ceiling fan which is great in the warm evenings and the bathroom is just a dream, the bath is huge and the shower being separate is really helpful. We had an amazing time and canât wait to come back.

The cottage is situated in a quiet and peaceful area with a local pub The Trowell and Hammer less than a 5 minute walk away. The pub has a small menu and the kitchen is not open every night. The cottage is well equipped, we found the bed comfortable and there is sufficient storage space and it's only an hours drive from the coast. We didn't use the hot tub. Parking wasn't an issue and it was very quiet at night. WiFi is good as is the phone signal.
