What our customers say about their holidays

There were a few faults with the property the first being the sofa it was so uncomfortable to sit on and its definitely due an upgrade.
When hanging a towel on a hand rail in the main bedroomâs bathroom one side of the towel rail fell off as it wasn't attached. The bathroom itself need an extractor fan as there seems to be a build up of condensation, slight damp which shows the cracks that are appearing on the ceiling. The fan lights in both bedrooms need to be replaced or maybe firmly attached to the ceiling as they move and spin erratically which didn't seem safe to leave on. We also had to reattach the fan pull chain as it came off when turning the fan off. The main dinning table was very unstable so we had to wedge some cardboard under the leg so it was sturdy to eat on. I think the main thing for us personally was not being able to close the curtains it was far to bright in the rooms however the blinds served a good purpose for privacy but come early morning when the light broke through we were woken earlier than expected. However there was positives to property to it was very clean baring the smell of dog odour in the lounge area (which us to be expected being a dog friendly accommodation) we had access to all of the amenities to cook, clean and wash our clothes if need be with a wide selection of kitchen utensils. The beds were comfortable, The property itself was spacious well decorated and it did feel homely. On a bonus the property its situated in the perfect location to Torquay town centre which is within walking distance and if you find those stairs which leads down to the middle of town centre it will shorten your journey considerably. Overall the holiday experience was a pleasant one and minor the the few things I stated above. i would recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants to be located in the perfect spot to have the peace and quiet during the night or day with many destinations that are only a short car/train journey away.

The location of the house gives great views and is convenient for the town. The provision of tea and coffee on our arrival was a pleasant surprise. We were able to access the house early which was a blessing given we had our baby granddaughter with us. The house was clean and tidy with plenty of room and of course those views. Although I don't want to sound negative there were a few issues. The beds all had winter duvets not summer duvets, and we were blessed this year with great weather, and the central heating was on in the house until we eventually found the controls (behind the microwave). The hot water tank on the first floor was annoyingly noisey, some sort of vibration which could be heard all over the house. Whilst none of these ruined the experience they need looking at. My brother in law who was in the master bedroom suggested the addition of more hooks, to hang up clothes and towels and perhaps a set of drawers in the wardrobe simple things which would be appreciated by the guests.

The property we stayed was nice. But it could it do with some mirrors about the place, cause when getting ready I only had one hand held mirror, maybe having a dressing table would be nice with a big mirror, especially for us women! ! Nice touch that there was flowers, milk, tea and coffee, dishwasher tablets and cloths etc...on arrival. Description on how to get to the property was accurate and helpful. Lovely views from balcony looking over to the harbour, pubs and restaurants down at the harbour was excellent. Entertainment in the pubs every night, and the locals were friendly. Lots to choose from.! Lots of nice shops as well, everything you needed was only a stones throw away. Boat trips and buses about so you can explore other villages and towns. I would recommend staying there. Over all, besides the property needing more mirrors and a few other little bits it was good. And the weather was kind to us that week. Many thanks

As a group of 4 adults and 2 teenagers Riviera had plenty of space to accommodate us all without getting in each other’s way. For older adults it is important to remember it is a town house but bringing your days items down in the morning will save repeated stair climbing. The property had everything we needed to cook for the family. The patio and kitchen area was ideal for family relaxing, using the first floor living room for tv and quiet reading. Two on suites the family bathroom and the cloakroom at the property entrance provided more than enough facilities to prevent any morning hold ups. Parking and the gated entrance was perfect to remove any worries in the busy area and the property was close enough to enable walking to the marina and town. All in all a great 2 weeks, perfect location for Royal Torbay Yacht Club, excellent communications in the run up to the stay and would definitely consider coming back.

My husband and I found Riviera to be beautifully clean and very well appointed when we arrived for a week’s stay just recently. The property is located in a small but secure, gated development and is really well positioned for Torquay Harbour, beaches, restaurants and shopping. (Tip: there is a stepped alleyway on Park Hill Road which saves a longer walk round to the harbour!). The views from the balconies were outstanding and even better at night when all the lights on the harbour came on. You can get ferries from the harbour to Paignton, Brixham and beyond. Lots to do in the area which can be accessed without needing a car (which is safely parked in its own space beside the property). All-in-all a fabulous property - we will be back I’m sure!
