  The whole experience was both very good and very poor. The cottage was clean and well equiped. The parking space was useful. We had some issue with the bath which although was sorted caused disruption to our holiday. There was a great deal of noise from an adjacent property at one time which went on past midnight, loud voices and banging. The garden was not welcoming, there was what appeared to be a huge compost heap just inside the gate, It was am untifdy, unkwmpt area which had weeds and mess. See photo. We noticed other reviews were less than positive about the outside space as well. Not a place we felt we wanted to sit.. There were one or two issues with neighbours who we felt were keeping an eye on us. We raised a problem with ants in the kitchen with the owners which was ignored. It would have been very nice to have received a more positive customer experience, sadly it has ensured we wont be returning to this property although we would holiday in Kirkcudbright again.

  Masada is a wonderful property and suited our requirements perfectly The location is superb and surrounding areas are beautiful -Our dogs absolutely loved it !

  Hot tub was amazing No complaints but perhaps a few suggestions to improve Although the kitchen was well presented there were one or two omissions- A pair of scissors would be useful and maybe a sieve and some scales for those who might like to bake. We couldn't find a mop and bucket in the event of any spillages- also the welcome pack advised that there would be dishwasher tablets-There was only the empty packet ! The welcome pack mentioned a local fish and chip shop at the hotel in Speen Bridge-There isn't one as the hotel ( and chip shop) has closed The nearest one open was at Fort William so the welcome pack needs updating Finally, clothing and children's toys from previous visitors was found in some of the bedroom drawers So, no complaints only constructive feedback Thanks for a fabulous stay

  We loved this holiday as the apartment was so comfortable and well equipped.

  The views are spectacular and we were lucky enough to have hot sunny weather. It was great we could park the car in the space provided and walk everywhere we wanted. The Chinese round the corner, The New Sunrise was very tasty. The Steamboat pub a few doors along a nice friendly pub. Delicious food served a short walk at The Salt Cellar. The deli just up the road sold great sandwiches and pies. Two well stocked Co-ops within walking distance. We had a great walk to the local lighthouse, several walks over the bridge to the East Beach, different every time depending where the tide was, or the options of walking through the dunes or over the other side along the estuary. Would recommend this place to anyone.

  The property was clean, bedrooms roomy and provided everything we required. The aga was a dream to cook with and the weather was kind enough for us to use the barbecue ands fire pit. Our youngsters loved the lawned garden area and, as this was the last property on the road, they played in safety. Parking was more than adequate and there was generous provision of bathrooms and toilets. The owner was welcoming and kind, telling me that earpods had been left after our departure and taking the trouble to post them back, much to my granddaughter's delight. Beautiful area, a really rural retreat, suitable for three generations of our family and a short holiday we'll always remember.

  The house was lovely. Warm and comfortable and tastefully decorated. It has a welcoming feel and we loved the Aga for cooking and heating. We were a large group rangeing in age from 14 to 82 and this house suited all of us. Teens loved the firepit outside whilst the older members loved the log burners indoors! The countryside surrounding the house provided lovely walks and stunning views. A couple of additions to the kitchen would be a bottle opener and a bread knife and perhaps a larger fridge or a second fridge. However this did not hinder our enjoyment in any way. A stunning house in a stunning location. Would love to go back another time
