We had a great week.
Four adults and two young children, we were all very comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners have set the property up extremely well, there are toys and games for youngsters, good garden facilities etc. The property is ideally situated for the beach - a very short walk, but far enough not to be inconvenienced by the very noisy bar. (NB thereâs no accessible sand at high tide, but itâs great for kids when the water is lower.) The owners took time to send us a welcome message on our first evening to check we were happy. We had a couple of minor problems/queries and they were very responsive and got everything sorted very quickly. We would suggest a couple of improvements: 1) curtains at the small window in the second bedroom - the blind alone lets too much light in very early in the morning. 2) trim back the bamboo hedge on the road boundary to improve visibility when exiting the drive. There is parking for two good size cars on the drive. Itâs a little awkward and took us a couple of days to work out the best way to get it right, but itâs definitely do-able. Over all we loved it. Thank you for a great holiday stay.

Facilities were all great and the house was well equipped and very clean. Beds were comfortable too. Garden was lovely and kitchen well equipped. Although close to the road it wasnât noisy. Quirky interior. The minor niggles we found (although didnât spoil the experience) were as follows; We probably could have done with an extra toilet roll per bathroom with nine people staying 1 per bathroom was not enough. The shower upstairs didnât drain properly. The downstairs loo handle was tricky to open with trapping fingers. A first aid kit? We couldnât find one Summer duvets The blind in upstairs room was a bit of a battle. Having said that the positives far outweighed any negatives and only really mentioning as they can be easily rectified for other guests.

The decor and comfort were amazing! The late check out was a kind gesture The main problem we had was the temperature fluctuations in both showers. All nine of us ended up showering in the bath with a hand held shower attachment. I did ask the owner about this with out any solution. Small things could be improvedâ¦. Couple of larger saucepans ( cooking pasta in 2 saucepans wasnât ideal) Maybe a large Wok A blender Somewhere to hang coats? Shoe rack at the door? These are just small adjustments that would improve the holiday experience. Iâm not complaining, just giving suggestions! We stayed at this lovely house over a weekend with family and lots of kids and it was the perfect set up for us. Plenty of space for everyone to cook and eat and play board games (supplied). The kitchen is well equipped with everything we needed for cooking. It’s right by the beach making an easy walk to the sand dunes and sea with little ones. The sheets and towels are exactly what you hope for - luxurious and pampering. We didn’t use the hot tub but hope to make good use of that on our next visit this summer. All booked already. We can’t wait to go back.
